First, prove that Oaklawn is speed favoring. Second, as his retirement shows, in this day and age if you have a horse ready to run, you run. It just seems baseless to make a claim that the trip to Oaklawn was a bad idea, considering your whole arguement is based on assumptions that YOU are making.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder
as long as YOUR eye sees a beautiful thing, more power to you.

we can't agree on everything right? or people would start calling us twins.;)

Getting back to his retirement and to whoever posed the question about synthetics failing to do their "job" and protect from injuries, and I thank that JC98DegreeBoyBand for derailing this thread completely with that painfully fake "Who's Maggi Moss" crap, how long before we get a quote from The Dorf blaming Bejarano for the injury with that :57+ 5f breeze last week?

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one here who sees through his obvious BS.

By the way, excellent use of a long lost euphemism.

Regardless of what or who's to blame (probably nothing and nobody, really), I think we can all agree this is a huge loss to an already depleted handicap division.

"Savvy" owners of Unusual Heat mares are already inundating the Jockey Club with the rights to the name "Unusual Heatseeker".

It will be "breed the fake, to the fake, and fake the rest".

What AW tracks are supposed to do is reduce the number of catastrophic injuries, those that cost the horse its life. Broken bones in the ankles and legs, for the most part. Heatseeker has a 'soft tissue injury', a tendon injury. Some trainers think that Poly in particular makes this sort of injury more likely.
