The Bid 06-30-2008 09:39 PM

My eyes hurt from watching this. Bring in Borowski and his 7.99 ERA, hes perfected the new molotov cocktail pitch

horseofcourse 06-30-2008 09:49 PM

Mike Fischlin would be the number 3 hitter in this offense.

horseofcourse 06-30-2008 09:51 PM

borowski's ERA just plummeted under 7. Parade planned tommorrow.

horseofcourse 06-30-2008 09:52 PM

7.53
6.75
12.00
6.75

ERAs of the 4 Tribe pitchers tonight.

Mortimer 06-30-2008 09:54 PM

HOC...this is quality work you're doing here.

horseofcourse 06-30-2008 10:00 PM

2 of their 5 major league caliber players pitch the next two nights so they may get lucky and win one of them.

horseofcourse 06-30-2008 10:05 PM

Here's Jhonny is a hitting machine when down 7!!!

Mortimer 06-30-2008 10:05 PM

Actually you have to give Laffey a lot of credit.

I just hope he changes his name if he goes south on us.

Oh he's a Monopoly money player all right.

horseofcourse 06-30-2008 10:12 PM

This year Lee, Sabathia, Laffey, Sizemore, Kobayashi and maybe Perez are the major league caliber players. Perhaps Blake if you really wanted to stretch it.

Mortimer 06-30-2008 10:18 PM

Oh well.at least the uniforms aren't bad.

GBBob 06-30-2008 10:57 PM

You aught to pay me to bet against the Rays for the rest of the season....you might only lose 10 more games then

Mortimer 07-01-2008 10:04 AM

Words to make your head rattle:

So ,Mr. Shapiro....you see the immediate and large success Phillips has had at Cincinnati?

Yes....but he wouldn't have done that here . ( meaning he would have been a utility infielder on the Indians and ,therefore, would not have had that chance to star)

=====================

I think Shapiro was saying " I'm even dumber than I sound."

=================

So,Eric...what's the story with Peralta?

Well....we're trying to get him to get all he has brought out to the game. He has so much ability.

Wedge sees a cup almost full where others don't see a cup.

He's signed up for at least 2 more years...it may be 3 or 4.

And ,again, the Indians brain dust could have got a lot more for CC had they done it at the start of the year.....but they saw diamonds where others saw feldspar.

It appears the others were right.

Generally you trade in March you get players, trade in July and you get prospects. Maybe you saw this train wreck of a season coming, but not many others did, IMO.

Yes...those that observed from afar saw big things.

Those who looked up close saw little things.

Such as:

A bewildered Hafner displaying every sign of a wash up.( he's going to set a record for being out the longest time without any operation being done)

Not doing something about leftfield. The Michales/Dellucci platoon did 't work ( SUR-PRAZ SUR-PRAZ!) Lofton was signed and took it over. Then Lofton was dumped and ,of course, the Indians went back to what wasn't working.

Here's Jhonny ( they will never own up to this colossal mistake)

Boroski and a successful pen made up of mostly rookies....rookies who can cave the very next year...which they have.Boroski said everything but " I HAVE HAD IT! YOU WERE LUCKY THIS YEAR!"

Resigning Byrd who was saying the same thing as Boroski.

Wedge.

Shapiro.

OK?
