125 is a bargain

churchill, belmont, saratoga. dirt is still the #1 surface here, regardless of cali. as for keeneland, they are part owner of an AWT company, so no joke they switched.

listen i hope dirt remains 1 forever, but if any sire is strong on AWT they can make it here....

Do you think he will prove to be a better sire than my all-time favorite horse, Sunday Silence?
Right now of course, he isn't anywhere close to the same league as SS, but even if you think he'll get there someday, do you mind if I use the time we're waiting for that day to come composing dozens of posts a day reminding everyone that Sunday Silence was a really good sire?

i really have no idea, and i don't think it'll ever happen anyway. i usually will talk about what has happened, not speculate about things that probably won't.
heatseeker couldn't beat tiago (and yes, he was giving weight) so i''m supposed to think he can get curlin out of a canter?

i don't think any horse out there, based on current form, can beat curlin on dirt.

everyone has said throughout this thread that GC needs to produce on dirt, and now you're talking about AWT?! nice recovery.

JCS is right about one thing... if the BC were this week, considering it's at Santa Anita and it's unlikely Curlin will run, Heatseeker would be the favorite, and the most likely winner. As for the rest, I'm not sure.

i am making the point that... he does not have to produce on dirt
because AWT is a huge part of are racing...make sense ?

yes, he does to be considered a top sire. he's marginalized himself. and practically nothing you put on here makes sense.

I'll stipulate that he was a tremendous racehorse, but let's look at the following facts as a stallion: 31% winners from foals; 5% stakes-winners; median earnings of $14,599; and an AEI of 1.98 versus a CI of 3.55. That hardly qualifies as a "bargain" at $125,000.
