The winner was an allownace horse who Clement, who can train. Now Mitchell has him and he's a grade 1 winner? Doesn't seem plasible, but hey, Mitchell's been doing it for years.

Mitchell is either a genius or a criminal..Horse crushes a reasonable field of Grade 2 talent from 62 claimers.. hard to take this game serious sometimes

Agreed. I mean, at least step him up in distance and class a little bit before winning a grade 1 after doing almost nothing but sprinting.

The biggest joke was that he was only 9/1.

ArlJim78 03-01-2008 06:20 PM

watch him come right back and win with Big Booster,
not impossible.

TitanSooner 03-01-2008 06:24 PM

was going to bet Tiago until this race.. thinking about betting Big Booster now..

33-1 ??

I'd say Vladimir Syringe just took the magic baton...

just a guess.

The lines between claimers and stakes horses doesn't exist anymore. Used to be that there was a clear distinction. Not anymore. This winner was just running in claimers. The current favorite for the Big Cap was in optional claimers in November. The winner of the grade two at Gulfstream today is a claimer. The horse that finished second in the Stymie is a claimer.

Line between vitamin B12 and steriods doesn't exist anymore either... Give me a break King the Horse was an OK claimer... He just crushed a Grade 2 plus field.. Have a heart.

I thought Ever a Friend was an underneath horse. I did not think he would destroy this field like he did. Chris Clement kept him to turf spriints last year and he ran well but I'm surprised he only ran him once at a mile or over.

He should not have been dropped in for a tag but it looks like the owner did not want him anymore. His original owner passed away and it looks like his wife does not share his enthusiam of owning racehorses as she has dropped a number of horses in for a tag since Peter Karches passed away.
