There was once a time? That sounds like today to me.

war pass has the necessary earnings....he can build a good foundation without going after other graded races. better to find the right race conditions, rather than chasing a purse.

Looking forward to seeing him run this year. Was so fast last year in the two races I was lucky enough to see him live at Toga. Of course I bet against both times. I think he faced Slew's Tiznow in his maiden.

Fun to see if he can carry the speed to the classic distances.

Should be a nice long workout for the champ ... and something that should set him up nicely for the Tampa contest.

I don't want to jinx anything, but he could probably run backward and beat this group.

Lightning could strike War Pass, and he'd get up and still win :)

I am interested in how War Pass will run today. Obviously he was a brilliant 2 yr old this will be my first look at him as a 3 yr old, especially want to see if he has filled out as he has gotten a winter under him. Some horses do not make the jump so easily from 2 to 3 so from that standpoint I am very curious to see how he looks in the post parade.

This may already be buried in this thread or the selections, but I note the "changes" on the Gulfstream Park card today list "No Show Wagering" on the War Pass race.

FWIW :)

How did Dylan's Choice do?

pmacdaddy 02-24-2008 04:52 PM

It's nice to be able to watch a horse like that work out on TV.

Danzig 02-24-2008 04:53 PM

a paid workout. he looked good.

but then, we all knew he would vs that group.

PSH 02-24-2008 04:53 PM

War Pass

nothing more than a public workout for the champ

Coach Pants 02-24-2008 04:54 PM

Still top dog.

the_fat_man 02-24-2008 04:56 PM

Why is it so hard to crack (or even get close to) 23 seconds for the QTR going a mile at GP? You'd think they were going 2 turns by the fractions that have been conistently posted this meet.

TitanSooner 02-24-2008 05:00 PM

I'm no expert (obviously), and I know he ran against rats.. but just watching that horse move I had to ask myself "What other 3 year old is going to beat him?"
