war pass has the necessary earnings....he can build a good foundation without going after other graded races. better to find the right race conditions, rather than chasing a purse.
|
Looking forward to seeing him run this year. Was so fast last year in the two races I was lucky enough to see him live at Toga. Of course I bet against both times. I think he faced Slew's Tiznow in his maiden.
Fun to see if he can carry the speed to the classic distances. |
Should be a nice long workout for the champ ... and something that should set him up nicely for the Tampa contest.
|
I don't want to jinx anything, but he could probably run backward and beat this group.

I am interested in how War Pass will run today. Obviously he was a brilliant 2 yr old this will be my first look at him as a 3 yr old, especially want to see if he has filled out as he has gotten a winter under him. Some horses do not make the jump so easily from 2 to 3 so from that standpoint I am very curious to see how he looks in the post parade.

How did Dylan's Choice do?
|
It's nice to be able to watch a horse like that work out on TV.
|
a paid workout. he looked good.
but then, we all knew he would vs that group. |
War Pass
nothing more than a public workout for the champ
|
Still top dog.

Why is it so hard to crack (or even get close to) 23 seconds for the QTR going a mile at GP? You'd think they were going 2 turns by the fractions that have been conistently posted this meet.
|
I'm no expert (obviously), and I know he ran against rats.. but just watching that horse move I had to ask myself "What other 3 year old is going to beat him?"
