I trained NW hill for a short time. Claimed him from Pete Vestal or Reinstedler at Saratoga, lost him in a claimer at CD that fall. He did win the day I lost him. Sad to hear about his fate.

And someone yanked the information from Pedigree Query. It was up there, including his race record. I'm trying to rebuild it now. Anyone have a pps on him?

There was more to the story but like Echo Farm said, a lot of posts were deleted elsewhere and even the second thread asking what happened to the original.....

Well, it was a sad story and I'm sorry I can't remember the details.

One of those things where many were questioning why he was entered because of some recent history.

Poor thing.

I missed the first part of Scav's call -- but I hope he smoked her.

I guess you don't become the nation's leading owner without doing any and everything you can to win, even if it's unsavory, and then using crappy lawyer doubletalk to try to justify it.

Maggi Moss contradicted herself on almost every point she attempted to make. She never claimed that anything Dr Allday said last Friday wasn't true, only that he should not have aired "dirty laundry", as this is bad for the sports "public image"??? Are you freakin kidding me!!!

I agree, but I didn't want to start throwing accusations out there for fear of getting chased or getting Steve in trouble

I'm going to listen to it again when the archives are up, but basically that is the message I got from that part of the conversation.

I'm getting the impression that some owners know very little about horses or the sport, other than writing checks, and showing up at the Turf Club on race day.

All I can say is, she unintentionally used GASOLINE in an attempt to put out the "Dutrow Fire". I'm far more annoyed now than I was before. Her big thing is that Rick doesn't hurt her horses. That's all well and good, but doesn't speak to the issue of cheating. It's obvious that she enjoys her success, whatever the means (Dutrow and Assmussen as her main trainers).

I don't think she uses Dutrow as a trainer. She uses Amoss and Assmussen, among others.

" I learned so much about Rick Dutrow" is what she said
