There is no ball movement during offensive sets in the NBA......execution creates options. Watch the Celts/Lakers/Pistons of decades gone by .....they all moved the ball to create shots. The Suns and Spurs do it to some extent but nothing like Magic, Bird, etc etc.......

Standing there and taking the ball 1 on all is garbage.......Lebron is a very limited basketball player with physical skills that compensate for his flaws.
And yes, when Larry Hughes left town in DC the fans quickly got over it. Another millionaire who lost his hunger when they got the contract.

I totally agree. Pass the ball around the perimeter and try to get the best shot. that works better when you have a talented big man inside posting up, but this isolation crap and 1 on 1 really dumbs down basketball IMO.

YOu make good points...the only thing I disagree with is that they are actually a pretty good rebounding team overall. LeBron is trapped pretty much...they have no shooters. Even their supposed good shooters aren't good (Pavlovic, Marshall, Jones, Gibson). They are a poor shooting team from the field and the foul line. I think Brown has done a wonderful coaching job with them, strengthening their defense considerably, which when you have a team that can't shoot is a wise thing to do in my opinion. I do think they have the athletes to run a bit more (James, Pavlovic, Hughes) but again, you can't have everything. People act like it's easy to do things against Detroit on this forum and it really isn't. They have had two legit shots to win games in Detroit which is pretty good. (for game winning or potential game winning shots the shots from Marshall in game 1 and Hughes in game 2 are about as good a shots as you are going to get against Detroit). Detroit is actually a better road team than home team, so it isn't going to get any easier for Cleveland. This series could be 4 games or 7 games. Tough to say.

But the Cavs dont have a single frontline player that you want to see with the ball in that situation. Lebron strength is moving with the ball toward the hoop, using his strength and size to overpower defenders. He is not that strong coming off of picks. Plus Detroit would almost certainly switch on the pick and try to deny the ball to Lebron. Which would leave the ball in the very shaky hands of Hughes, Snow, or Pavolich. Which would have been a poor decision by Brown.
Hamilton actually played great d on the play, being physical enough to disrupt the flow without drawing the foul.

There was no excuse for Hughes missing the follow up.

I think Ilgauskas is a guy you could do that stuff with...but he was on the bench becuase Verajao got minutes with his play.

Now they were out of timeouts, another mistake, but on the road in the playoffs, down 1-0, IMO you try and lengthen the game, not shorten it if you are down.

The Cavs got a shot from LeBron, a wide open 8 footer from Hughes, and a tip attempt from Verajao on that possession. What on earth more could you ask for??/ If Detroit gets the rebound there are 6 seconds left, and a quick foul and they do get a second possession. AFter 2 shots...a tip in and a Detroit rebound there were still close to 2 seconds left in the game when the foul was committed. The TNT guys are clueless and clueless at times. They are flat out wrong analyzing the last possession.

The shots they got were much better than if they throw the ball in and whip up a wild 3 pointer in 2 seconds just to lengthen the game.

Silly, silly man. Before LeBron got to Cleveland the team hadn't had a 30 win season in over 3 years. The team was 15-67 the season before LeBron got there. In two years he had them over .500. They have won 3 playoff series in the last 2 years after having not won one since 1993. They have back to back 50 win seasons for only the second time in close to 40 years in existence.

HE hit not one, but two game winning shots in the playoffs last year. At age 22, LeBron has 15 playoff wins...I think at that age, Bird and Jordan had a total of zero combined.

Why bother with facts when making things up is so much better!!!

I've had about enough of you.

Yessireebob-o......they went 16-67 and then James came and with EXACTLY the same team members he immediately turned them around to where they are now.

It's just incredible what that one player addition has done.

Do you all were spahgetti bibs when you write this garbage?

Trained seals could do better.

Trained seals HAVE done better.

You are zero competition for me. absolute zero. nada. You're right. McCinnis, Snow, POllard and Newble are mostly responsible for the improvement.

With your 85 returns between sentences, I am concluding you are wearing 18 spaghetti bibs.
