I totally agree with that. Especially for the Jockeys.

I read somewhere that it was the high speed through the turns that was hardest on the horses.

They show these races Saturday mornings on, I believe, TVG. They're actually pretty cool. Saw one last week where 3 horses dumped their riders over the fences. The horses were just fine. One actually stopped running, but the other 2 kept going. One of them actually came in first!

I really enjoy these races at Saratoga. I try to get to at least one there a year. The first live race I ever saw was a Steeplechase at the Spa and I loved it. They seem to be pretty chalky but the exactas pay about twice what they should.

I can't watch a steeplechase. . . I get too nervous
