Congratulations and thanks to Chuck and the partnership participants, and all members of Derby Trail as well, for making it possible.

I find it hard to believe this really has been pulled off!

well good luck to all and sumwonlovesyou

99% sure - there was a fasig sale ( auction ) about a month and a half back for raced and older horses.

She was purchased in the Fasig-Tipton February Mixed Sale.. You get all kinds in it.. Broodmare prospects that could continue to race for new owners or be taken straight to the shed.. Horses like Sumwon that are early in their career.. Older horses being liquidated by stables leaving the game.. whatever. It's a "mixed" bag. Sumwon was a newly-turned 3 year old at the time, and with the win under her belt could have been bought a broodmare or to continue to race. She fit our the interests of our undertaking well as horse in training with some upside that had residual value as a broodmare prospect potentrially down the road.

If she does win I'm sure you'll have her on your derby top five list in a heartbeat.
