CleverLand is cold. I've heard that. Was thinking about taking a job in a place called Oberlin.... it's up thaya somewheres.... You probably know it.

Anywho The guy was all "Rudy you would be a perfect fit!!! Yea!!! We need you!!"

So I immediately says, "Cool yer jets Sonny!, I got sh1t ta figger out first!!!"

So's I go on the intarweb for details about this joint - you know city data and whatnot...

I laughed. A lot.

Called the guy back and asked him if he had any idea how cold the intarweb is telling people it is thaya in tha winter!!???

I Says, "You need to call city-data.com and tell them to get their sh1t together, cause from the looks of things the only ones in Oberlin are you, Santa and a bunch of midgets!! And further more, though you're pic on the company webscreen does look eerily like Mrs. Claus, I'm quite convinced he doesn't swing that way.....I don't know what kinda sh1t you're pulling here fella, but I'm not one to take these kind of sick webbyjokes lightly!! "

He told me (in a rather scolding, condescending tone and manner) that "midgets" is an inappropriate slang word for little people, and if I was making a joke about how Oberlin is as cold as the North Pole, well then, technically elves aren't even midg.... little people.

I reminded him to focus his attention on the prevailing matter at hand.

That firstly the intarweb is wrong about the winter temps in his fair city.

He said, nope the intarweb is accurate.

I told him that he should go fuc1< himself with an icepick and hire a godamned eskimo if that were really the case.

I believed he was testin' my mettle. Mettle testin' is an old trick they use ta use in weedin' out the weak ones.

That's no longer the case - but ahm digressin'

Nevah heard from that sick bastard again. True Story.

Really?

A pretty good one, too. The only thing there is a private college. It's like,I think, maybe 40 miles west of Cleveland.

All you have to do is take Clevelands lattitude and see where it connects to on a map. It's cold.

What? The part about it being a true story?

Nope. Completely fabricated errrr Poetic License.

No offense, I don't do Ohio. Been there, just not my cup o tea. It's an acquired taste and I've never been there long enough to acquire anything but a miserable head cold.

Been to Columbus to go to the airport ... ONCE.

Been to Marietta for a wedding.... ONCE.

That's it. I've got a friend that moved to Sugar Creek 7 years ago... Been buggin me ever since to visit..... Told him I see him enough when he and his family invade my house every year for spring break.

Plus if I drive there and get stuck behind one of those godamnity Amish horse and buggy thingys I WILL introduce the 21st century heat to their asses, in a manner most unpleasant.

Not worth it...I don't need an Amish Jihad Fahtwa deal hanging over me head. Best I stay here raght heyah in Flooryduh.

clyde 11-21-2010 04:11 PM

Yes, I di d believe you.

We're 150 miles north of columbus and on he lake that pumps snow.

It's not even close.

Rudeboyelvis 11-21-2010 07:09 PM

Well quite quiet here.... This is Good.

Speegish has delivered on his promise to provide me mah spaaaasheaal new siggy.

I will unveil shortly after Cylde's demise.

Would not be fair nor proper to reveal such things to a man in his failing condition.

I must say, it is grand. Colloquial, yet grand. His use of homogenistic hyperbole is in fact, the finest I've seen. In print that is.
