Great Job, Brian.

I just watched the replay of the 6th race. I know we have been talking about it a lot, but Serpa is the nuts on the turf. I :{>::{>: him.

That was ridiculous - they could call that out of the gate on virtually any friggin' race there.

I had nothing riding on that race, but that was a bullsh*t takedown.

$48.75 for each $8 invested. Could've used that 11 though.

Bigsmc 04-21-2012 10:36 AM

Rains on the way. The early races may be okay, but the later turf races in major jeopardy.

Wow, good call. Almost nailed the favorite. Rooting for 4 out of 5 and another carryover now, but most likely need a price in this 9th.

Unfortunately, the chalk is going to make it difficult to get our investment back, if we hit this.

Bigsmc 04-27-2012 04:13 PM

Unless the 2 or 5 wins, neither of us are making a profit with this one.

Heels1989 04-27-2012 04:17 PM

Those are some nice will pays.

If my 2 doesn't win, I am rooting for your 5. Not much of a sacrifice, I know.

I know we've said it before, but it bears repeating - THE most patient rider there... How many of these jocks would send when when HVG draws aside in the turn? BB gains position, lets out just a bit after HVG uses and slowly grinds the 7 down. Pro ride right there...

Bigsmc 04-29-2012 01:58 PM

Ademar just went down as hard as you will ever see a jock go down. Hope he's okay.

Broken leg. Not good, but could have been a lot worse from the looks of the fall and tumble in front of most of the field.

Of course JC decides to break her 0 for 15 first turf in the opening leg of the last pick 4 of the meet.:wf

One and done, again.

Peter Berube on the '12-'13 season, "We may reallocate some of the stakes money and concentrate on what I believe our core stakes program is, which is turf racing and 3 year old racing."

I'm sure the local horsemen, who rarely win any turf or 3 year old stakes, will be thrilled.
