Of course...didn't GDUB promise his great relations with the oil companies would help us and that Iraq would pay their debts in oil??

Hey GDub's made a lot of mistakes. I'm not going to make him out to be some great president. We should just be taking the oil out of Iraq IMO but who knows what will happen with that.

Palin was on key last night about energy though, we NEED to be drilling here and become self sufficient with energy.

Its not like Republicans are against finding alternative energy sources like the Dems make us out to be. Thats just wacky talk there! We just need to be drilling in the mean time cause we shouldnt be giving the Middle East and Russia our $$.

GDub's made a lot of mistakes when it comes to Oil IMO but I wouldnt for a second think McCain/Palin are like Bush in this matter.

besides this I'm not even going to honor your idiotic post above.

So, do you, Anti-trust, believe that Sarah Palin would be a stronger candidate for office if she were abducted and tortured and finally released?

That's what 90% of the argument for McCain seems to be

Yes, I was being a smart-ass in my comment about McCain's cockiness getting him shot down. I kind of like McCain, and I seriously doubt it was he that picked a complete stranger to work with him as his VP for the next(possibly final) four years of his life

I'll try not to throw dumb **** out here, but how can one seriously discuss the Palin choice? It's an insult to all Americans

Antitrust32 09-04-2008 11:24 AM

I have no idea why he picked Palin... but last night she seemed like a bad a$$ b*tch on TV.

If Obama get elected, I sure hope he doesnt make the same mistakes with terrorists as Clinton did. I hope hes 100 times more of a man than Clinton was.

The war (not just Iraq) is the #1 most important issue our country faces right now. Forget Afghanistan and Iraq, look at all the tensions with Iran, Pakistan, Lebenon, Syria, (I think the Saudi's are as bad as any of them yet Bush seems to bend over for them), North Korea, Russia.. etc.

McCain is the right man to lead our country right now in this time of crisis.

Sarcastic with a smile while reading a speech she was in isolation for two days preparing to deliver.

That's not bad ass. The top of her ticket is the bad ass - and he doesn't even pretend to believe in creationisim either.

But that she is an insult to all Americans....she certainly isn't an insult to the REP party members and with an 80% approval rating in Alaska - somebody must think she is doing something right.

Actually I am insulted that Obama choose a career politician like Biden as being the 2nd on a "change" ticket. WTF is that?

And if Obama wanted so much change - why didn't he step forward to do something while he was (and still is) in the US Senate? At least Hillary has tried to do something as the NYS Senator.

In an effort to promote understanding between blue staters like me and red staters(I'm not sure how to describe the cultural divide) I can disclose the following:

I secretly think that Iraq war is about oil and not weapons of mass destruction. I believe that Bush-Cheney and many other type A, I'm the biggest kid in the sandbox personalities also want to get into Iran and control the Middle East oil supply. I think they justify taking other people's resources as a means of long term survival.

I don't think this is the correct way of dealing with the world.

But(and here's my disclosure),I might be wrong, maybe we do need the cutthroat bastards watching out for our self-interests at the expense of the rest of the world

At the end of the movie, "Three Days of the Condor", Lawrence Olivier says to Redford (and I'm para-phrasing to the best of my memory): Now it's about oil, but someday it will be about water. When your family has no water to drink, will you care what your government has to do to keep your children and yourself alive

Mike 09-04-2008 11:48 AM

Thank God for YOUTUBE, here is the last 5 minutes of the movie:

Coach Pants 09-04-2008 11:55 AM

Oh shut up.

Mike 09-04-2008 11:56 AM

Well, it wasn't Lawrence Oliver(I was confusing Marathon Man) and it was food, not water, but an enjoyable scene. There was a cultural divide of sorts between those two fella's in the movie

Why, thank you Geeker. I passed on your gay choices, but if I can suspend my heterosexuality for a few moments I think I'm man enough to answer:

Richard Simmons- I guess I have to fuc k him. I mean, I could fantasize that he's a woman if I'm behind him, he's got that big hair and a shrill voice

Obama- I can't marry him, I guess I'm admitting he might be a pompous ass

Biden- with Joey for life, I hope he likes horse racing and weed

An 80 plus approval rating? That is laughable. So I guess that means after an entire 18 MONTHS, her policies are really making a difference and that 800 of the 1000 alaskans that were surveyed collectively nodded their heads that they like her.

I bet when she was mayor of that town of 40 people, she had an 80 plus approval rating as well.

By the way, what is the population of Alaska? I honestly dont know.

as compared to the policies Obama has put in to place over the past 18 months... oh wait, he's never made a policy in his life!

Palin could have just been the Captain of her Middle School Basketball team and that would still make her have more leadership experience than Obama! ;)

OK let's say it's a 50% approval rate...My point is how is she an insult to every American - she maybe an insult to those DEM's that fear her - but to say and insult to every American is in itself an insult.

and above all you have insulted Morte and I for one will not tolerate that!
