When will Kent D ever learn, I'm sure this was missed with the focus on Zenyatta, he once again stopped riding a horse (Summer Bird) who may or may not have finshed 3rd in the Classic with a more vigorous ride approx 25 yds prior to the finish line.

He did stop riding him which may or may not have cost him 3rd but honestly he ran better than any dirt horse all day and was spinning his wheels at the 1/2 mile pole. He ran 4th on talent alone, he hated the surface. I talked to Tim Ice after and he was happy with the result, he lost nothing in defeat IMO and obviously is 3yo champion male and the early 2010 BCC favorite.

Why is rain in the forecast for BCC 2010?

I'm not including Rachel in the weather forecast. Otherwise he's the clear 2nd choice.

I wonder if Ice will ask for a refund of the 10% Jock's fees. In a 5 million dollar race the guy doesn't see fit to ride out for 3rd. Go figure...

I think it is 5% for 4th in CA stakes though it might be different

Summer Bird had zero chance at staying ahead of Twice Over...

I wouldn't say that, whether it is a 0% chance or a 30-40% chance is probably more accurate, someone should tell Kent D people do play Tri's or show bet in races.

BC '06 in L-ville was a balmy like 43 degrees at post time for the Classic.

The Breeders' Cup is about horses and racing, not the weather. I had a blast at both the '06 and '07 Breeders' Cup despite the less than beach-like weather. When you're having fun, the weather is an afterthought.

It might be -3 at CD next year but I'll be there, no doubt about it.

If they go back to dirt at SA it should go on a

SA
CHurch
Bel
X

rotation.. with x of course being monmouth, lone star, or whatever.

I wish they had not shrunk Gulfstream.. the '99 BC was a blast there!
