It was THE Mother of all mushes.

Really, you should be ashamed of yourself.

AMERICA'S TEAM has won ....again!!!!

horseofcourse 05-31-2011 09:24 PM

It was the classic Talbot 2nd off the layoff angle. I think it worked for Carrasco as well when he came of the DL 2nd off.

clyde 05-31-2011 09:30 PM

Fine work...you won't see Watchbreaker digging stuff like that out of the mire.

clyde 06-01-2011 05:18 PM

I have made little attention to the Thistleydowns as of late and even forgot about this thing.

Getting worse every year.

But thanks for the reminder as it must be analyzed.

Don't forget Ohio State's men's V-Ball team won the Nat. title.

Of course now it, too ,is "dirty."

dalakhani 06-01-2011 06:12 PM

Can america's team hit curve balls?

clyde 06-01-2011 06:27 PM

Well they certainly are hitting something right now.

Is this guy a curve ball pitcher?

He has a nasty curve. He is going to be better than his dad. That being said, he got shelled in the first.

clyde 06-01-2011 06:45 PM

Thanks so much...I knew Drabek sounded like a familiar name.

38 pitches and only 12 were strikes...in 2/3 of a inning.

That's Exhausto on a bad day.

Edit--make that 15 strikes.

clyde 06-01-2011 08:23 PM

What the fucl< does Tomlin think he's doing!!

He has had a problem with walks but has had quality starts for the most part. This is the first time i can remember him getting shelled but I'm no jays fan so there may have been others.

I know that this sounds crazy but check out the staff that the orioles are assembling. Matusz pitched very well today. Britton has been excellent this year. Guthrie has looked really good recently. All of those guys are in their early to mid twenties.

clyde 06-01-2011 08:52 PM

I'll do that...did know about Guthrie, he's good. One of ''Wedgie's" throw aways. The guy was horrible with young talent. He did love 35 year old minor leaguers, though.

clyde 06-01-2011 09:00 PM

I did look at them on evpn and this is true. They're good.Low walks/hits per inning and era's.

They'll probably kill us next time around.

clyde 06-01-2011 09:15 PM

Oh my God!!

What the fucl< does R/Pz think he's doing!!

clyde 06-01-2011 09:26 PM

HC,they may have won the last two....but AMERICA'S TEAM appears to be showing cracks in that once impenetrable armor.

When you lead 12-0 after 3 it's pretty much throw strikes and see if they hit it. Tomlin always throws strikes anyway, they eventually got to him. The Jays had been playing well, they beat the living crap out of the White Sox the series before and the WHite Sox proceeded to sweep the Red Sox in Fenway. 2 of 3 from the Jays up there is pretty good.

clyde 06-01-2011 09:42 PM

But this is AMERICA'S TEAM.

Oh never mind.

I'm very sensitive and given to artistic fits.

horseofcourse 06-01-2011 10:49 PM

The Perez's have both been pretty shaky lately. Pestano and Sipp have continued to be superb all season long. They have so many good relievers some of them will always be pitching well. They are the biggest reason to maintain hope I think...the pen. Grady did some hitting this series which is nice and I noticed how Manny snuck him into the 6 hole to "regain" his footing!! Good one Manny. He put him there hoping they'd keep winning so he wouldn't have to move Brantley!! Grady's a power hitter now and the 6 hole is where he belongs. Hannahan is a banjo on offense but holy crap he is a vacuum at 3rd. He was a highlight reel this series. They've got lots of nice parts. Cabrera has grown up completely. Santana though struggling mightily is on pace for a gazillion walks. Great approach to hitting even with his struggles is an asset on offense. Choo has yet to get hot this year and they still have the best record in the AL. He's sort of come out of it a little but not really, he will get really hot at some point. They're to the point where they just have to play .500 ball the rest of the way to win 88 games this year. I'm not sure if anyone else in that division will do that.

clyde 06-01-2011 10:59 PM

Thank you so much, all of that so true.

I feel much bettah now.

I did look ahead to the schedule...Dahla's right.

This could be the litmus test.

clyde 06-02-2011 08:07 PM

Oh my God.

What the fucl< is Carrasco doing!!??

clyde 06-02-2011 09:29 PM

Spare me the silver linings, Mr. Course.

Until they get things right and stop failing me.....phooey on basebally.

horseofcourse 06-02-2011 10:13 PM

I found an internet radio station in West Virginia that live streams Indians games so I can listen if I want to now!! There is your silver lining clyde! I think that's why they lost. It's better I think when I had no access. I was listnening to the carnage in the 6th inning live. It reminded me of when I listened to games in the 70s how they were playing. ( I was waiting for Charlie Spikes to lumber to the plate.)

clyde 06-02-2011 10:17 PM

Oh my God!!

You conjured up Charlie Spikes!

( Too bad shoe contracts weren't around during his time.)

vomit!!

horseofcourse 06-02-2011 10:29 PM

The glory days. Spikes and Hendrick manning the corner outfield positions, Buddy Bell and Frank Duffy on the left side of the infield, some pre-Duane Kuiper stiff at 2nd...(Brohammer maybe?) and Gaylord throwing Vicks Vapor rub puff balls...he'd go to the resin sack so much every pitch came out of a puff. Man they stunk.

clyde 06-02-2011 10:36 PM

Oh my God!!

stop it!

I swear, if you say Wingy's real name-----I'm leaving!!

clyde 06-02-2011 10:54 PM

Any mention of his ''puff ball" made me laugh hysterically...even now.

Many batters choked to death before it ever arrived to home plate.

clyde 06-03-2011 03:35 PM

Until the Indians win 5 in a row, this thread will now feature my wrestling victories...only.

Here's when I kicked Dahla's ass.

The Hanging Judge refereed and my manager,BeefHerky, was shouting encouragement.

dalakhani 06-03-2011 09:38 PM

Americas team is playing much like americas economy.

clyde 06-03-2011 09:47 PM

Did you notice I kicked her after pinning her sorry behind?

She failed to do so.

horseofcourse 06-03-2011 10:18 PM

It's all part of the grand plan. 4.5 games up on June 4th. All Cleveland sporty fans would have jumped all over that in mid March. I need to stop writing completely. I talked well of Sipp very recently...he pitched his worst game ever tonight to reward me for that. C Perez has yet to be the same since my niceness. I'm done. Exhausto is the worst starting pitcher in major league baseball history and will prove it tomorrow night.

clyde 06-03-2011 10:25 PM

horseofcourse 06-04-2011 01:26 PM

Golden sombero for Grady today.

clyde 06-04-2011 01:29 PM

And this means...what?

clyde 06-04-2011 01:34 PM

Well fine, don't tell me.

clyde 06-04-2011 01:37 PM

It's time to bury AMERICA'S TEAM .

I think it's 4 strikeouts in one game. He did it last Sunday. I think he can do it again.
