have you tried a philosophical debate with pea-garden?

or, and perhaps this is a bit overkill, but have you tried watching c-span?

if those two methods are too harsh, how about a little melatonin sublingually taken?

chamomile tea?

I'm allergic to chamomile...it probably didn't help that I got on the elliptical so late, but I thought a quick breeze might tire me out.

sorry to hear that! that trick never worked for me, but then again, i've probably got the most messed up sleep pattern of anyone on here. that includes sal, who goes to bed at 4pm one day, and 7 am another.

i know!!
