Hard not to feel sorry for the little one. growing up, she will be subjected to her mothers past "ills"...hope she develops a thick skin and a strong self esteem....she will need both.

Anna really didnt seem like the sharpest girl alive. I cant help but think Howard K Stern, that scummy leach, had to know both the son and Anna had problems. He seems just scummy enough to wait for Anna to eventually kill herself, post son dying.

Everyone has problems whether it be with themselves or the rest of the world. Everyone has seen this coming from a long way back. To say it surprised anyone that she has passed away I'd have to laugh. It goes to show if you live hard and party harder it all comes back to haunt you in the end.

I better change my lifestyle

playing bingo at the VFW doesn't count as partying hard Bid.

YOu would be surprised how out of control the four corner game gets.

been out of the loop since yesterday morning-sick, sick i am. first time i've called in to my job in 3 1/2 years of being there. and guess what, it's turned into a four day wknd. ugh, feel bad still.

tony called me yesterday morning and told me she had died. very surprising just considering her age. a real shame-my first thoughts went to her little baby. no parent wants to pass away before raising their child(ren). very sad for the little girl.

A good commentary from AP's Jocelyn Noveck:

Oh no...I have no problem with your response, I agree totally! To me, even asking such a repulsive question shows a skewed sense of humanity!

I just feel sorry for her little girl. Growing up without a mommy. Makes me very sad to even think about.

I actually liked Anna. She was a screwed up person being on all the drugs, but she wasn't a mean hearted person. I get upset that she started on the drugs because of back pain from carrying around her biggest assets. Sad when you think about it. What made her her millions was what started her on her downward fall.

RIP Anna. Say hello to Marilyn.

Buffymom,
I also feel sad for the baby girl. This whole thing is developing into a huge mess.

On a side note, I don't know why someone would use this thread to attack me about my opinion of Gerald Ford. I posted the topic clearly.
Cheap shot. Missed me again. (not you Buff...some other one).

Salon has a really beautiful, thoughtful piece on her:

http://www.salon.com/ent/feature/200...9/anna_nicole/

I think the writer hit the nail on the head by describing her not as a candle in the wind but as a "bonfire in a hailstorm."

And the article also says what BuffyM said- when she wasn't overdone to cartoonishness, she was really mind-bogglingly beautiful. I still remember those Guess ads - she was just lovely.

To be honest...that saddens me! If you came back guns blazing, I could write you off as a thoughtless individual but if you truly don't see the problem with your question...well, maybe you are young and haven't thought much about life, humanity and the ties that bind us all.

For what it's worth, one of the idiots I work with asked me the same question.

I scoffed and tried to explain to him that the question isn't even appropriate to ask.

Then he said, "but no really, which one?!"

Is it really that not obvious to some people that the question's answer should be a foregone conclusion to anyone with a semblance of humanity?

Brian,
I think the responses here answer your question...unfortunately!

Coach Pants 02-09-2007 06:01 PM

You two are just superior. Let's face it, you're awesome. Let's go shoe shopping, somer.

oh come on pp, two things.

1.) it's not a matter of superiority at all....it just seems like a foregone conclusion that we'd rather people be alive than a horse. maybe it's just me, apparently.

2.) out of the two of us, you quite obviously chose the wrong one to go shoe shopping with. if i'm not even good for that, i have nothing.

can't be DH until after another American Idol finale.

Oh, to see a grown man cry at a talent show. It was really something.
