Jacksonport, Punkin Pie, Shoop, Federal Funds, Iron Gavel, More to Tell, Genes Gray Girl. Arromanches, Coyote Lakes.

Those were definitely the days.... I have to add others to that list like... Boom Towner, Fabersham, Senor Cielo, Golden Tent, Electrojet, Unreal Cupcake, Take A Powder, Miss Pocket Court, Unreal Mot, Via Dei Portici, Strategic Reward, Skip One, Farmonthefreeway... and about 100 others.. it was a fun time to be a racing fan.... even in the winters at Aqueduct.

I bet Farmonthefreeway when he broke his maiden....think he paid around 7-2. It was at Saratoga......Richie O'Connell trained and, believe it or not, Diane Nelson rode.

When she won the Prioress a couple years ago the race should have immediately lost it's Grade 1 status...

I remember Lukas getting Farm's half brother, Sudden Impact, the owners paid somewhere near a million for him.... If they ran $5 claimers he would have been in over his head.

But I understand, a " fan " like you knows the game, and was really just kidding around.

Now THAT'S FUNNY!

Remind me to nail your hands to the table the next time you want to bet Diane Nelson....She challenged Shane Laviolette for incompetence(?)

I have a race for you.... I'll upload it this week when I get the chance...

It's the 1994 Fall Highweight... Boom Towner, Chimes Band, and a few others... The severe lugging in plays a big part in the race... it's pretty funny actually.

How could I forget to name those horses? Unreal Mot, LOL! Seems like it was yesterday, I was in college hanging out at the OTB a mile from campus.

How about Cavanaugh's Special, Cosmic Speed Queen, Missymooiloveyou, Medical Pro, Catchin Air. Moonopoly and the many others trained by Juan Serey. Lottsa Talc, another good one Diane Nelson got to ride.

How about Peter Ferriola and his famed 5 horse entries?

Nice to look back but alos very sad to look at today's feature to see Carminooch and Account for Gold. How exciting.

Hushion actually took me into the stall with Boom Towner many years ago. Did you know he was a swayback?

I almost never bet her ( Farmonthefreeway was 20 years ago ). She is a very bad rider. In fact, " Diane-off " has been a very profitable angle over the last few years.

Gander 12-31-2006 11:16 AM

I remember Farmonthefreeway. The horse had tons of early speed and I believe loved the Aqu Inner. Taking this further I seem to remember the horse being a chestnut and racing in green silks, but I could be very wrong. I was a recreational drug user in the 90's

It is like the Laviolette off angle.....I am going to look at Diane off angle now, add it to the toolbox

I remember when Chimes Band made his US Debut. It was the first race one day the previous winter at Gulfstream in a five or six horse field. There was a mediocre even money favorite and Chimes Band was 2-1 or 5-2. It was ridiculous. He won by five or so in a gallop.

Made his US debut Feb 6th 1994 at Gulfstream, in the first race..

Paid $7, he beat Personal Escort and Arrival Time...

Yeah, and it felt like he couldn't lose. It was one of those " if he can handle dirt " things. He did. He was pretty good.

Did Frank Alexander train Arrival Time?
