I don't know whether you've seen that Ace is running in Dubai under the care of Satish Seemar. He ran twice in Abu Dhabi at the backend of last year over 7f and 1m, and was supposed to run on the first day of the Carnival last week before pulling out.
To be honest Seemar has his work cut out, because the number of horses that have improved for leaving O'Brien are extremely few and far between...in fact I can't think of any!

Oh believe me......... she knows............. she screams everytime she notices his name in a race.....

and you could never convince her that he isn't as good as he once was. so be careful she doesn't beat you with a stick now that you have said that :D

I do have to agree though, i can't see him doing much, although if they can manage to win a race with him he may just get plenty of confidence from that and go onto better things.

You having any bets on the Nad Al Sheba card today.......?

I think I'll leave it a few more weeks before getting stuck into anything properly at the Carnival, just to see where things stand. Today, Munaddam is a horse who I think will do well this season, but seems in a tough spot here.
Mike de Kock is the man to follow in Dubai, so I'll probably chuck a few quid at Whistledownthewind and Bennie Blue.
I'll be very interested to see how Tax Free gets on on the dirt, with an eye towards the Golden Shaheen.

There are a few i really fancy today.

Championship Point in the first, think he is well in for his handicap debut over his best trip IMO and he seems best when fresh. Mick Cjannon's team already in good form........ Same can be said for his other runner later on Royal Power, think he will take all the beating to be honest.

I like the Brazilian horse Greetings, the form looks good and im not sure if some of the main rivals will train on from tough 2yo seasons.......La Presse may follow Greetings home.

A very good word has been going around for Tiza in the second race....... and i fancy that very strongly against some very in and out sprinters.

Lost Soldier Three caught the eye last time over a completely inadequate trip last time, now over 12furlongs i find it hard to see him not being involved in the finish, as long as he doesn't bounce.

The two Brazilian runners in the Gr3 race look sure to be over priced for the race and have backed them both win and place. I not so sure how Tax Free will handle the dirt, doesn't look like a dirt horse to me, not bred for dirt either.

The last is tricky, agree with you, if Bennie Blue is fit and well he will take all the beating but i quite fancy Missisipi Star to get invloved at a bigger price.

Forgot to mention Lost Soldier Three, I'm having a bit on that, although I don't like backing Dandy's horses at 1m+!!

Guess you have to respect all the S.American-bred horses, and Greetings does look interesting. Although I believe Satulagi has more ability than she has shown, even after a busy juvenile campaign.


Elsewhere, I fancy Kitski for the Thyestes, that's if his sometimes fragile jumping holds up.

Also Thedreamstillalive could be a really good bet in the 3.40 at Warwick. He travelled like the dream was still alive on his reappearance before stopping as if shot. Sure to come on from that, down in trip and reverts to chasing. Must go well, even though Jim Old is becoming a disgrace to the training profession!

My best mate works at Ferdy's. he looks after that Another Promise that won yesterday. He told me just to back it for a place.......... so not sure how confident they are. I was with him back at college for the christmas ball when it won at Market Rasen and we both piled in, we got 10's early doors!!!

Ive backed the Pipe horse i that race, know its not much of a price but he is much better than that handicap mark, if a bit quirky. Yeah what has happened to Jim Old? I respected him a couple of season ago, but i think thats when he had his last winner. Surprised Wally Sturt has kept all his horses there to be honest.

I like Woodlands Genpower at Warwick too.

CAULFIELD Cup winner Tawqeet, Oaks victor Miss Finland and Cox Plate runner-up El Segundo head a record number of Australian entries for the Dubai World Cup meeting.

David Hayes has 13 of the 54 horses entered for the $27.25 million meeting on March 31, the world's richest race day.
Hayes has 12 nominations and Anthony Cummings four for the $6.4 million Dubai Duty Free (1777m).

The Australian entries are spread across four races.

Lee Freedman has three -- Gallant Guru, Glistening and Soulacroix -- in the $6.4 million Sheema Classic (2400m).

Brian Mayfield-Smith has entered Melbourne Cup placegetter Maybe Better in the Sheema Classic and Duty Free. Japan's Cup quinella Delta Blues and Pop Rock have entered the Sheema Classic.

Miss Andretti, Here De Angels and Magnus have been entered in the $2.5 million Golden Shaheen (1200m), which is run on dirt.

Thank you, thank you thank you though! I was devastated when I heard back from Coolmore and from friends, that he'd soon be off to (gasp!) India. I imagined him in scenes from films i had seen, shot in Bombay..... very sad.

I'm so thankful he's in Dubai and with SS and yes..... he WILL win one of these days and he'll be brilliant.

A few interesting horses running tomorrow with Yorokobi and Mooner having top south american form and have been transfered to Hermon Brown and Satish Seemar respectively. I think both should take plenty of beating.

Humm...sorry...i don´t know mooner very well...he is argentinian...i know something about brazilian horses only...

But nelore porã is a very good horse...he has 7 wins out of 12 starts here in Brazil (5 out of 7 starts on the dirt). He is graded stakes winner both on the dirt and turf. And he is track record holder in one of brazilian race tracks.
My concern is that his last race here was not a very good one. But one race before that he won a G2 stakes over Eu Também (The first foreign horse to win the argentinian Derby. And that was Eu Também's only defeat. He was sold to one of the Dubai sheiks).
Very difficult race i agree, but i think he has to be remembered

He returned at 6/1 according to the Racing Post. Might be different prices in America though.
