and you know this how? I am friends with the guy, take it easy with your assumptions

This has nothing to do with who is freindly with him or who is not...I've never met him....I just know what he was making (or what it is believed to be his salary within the industry...I know several announcers and they all know what each other makes)...obviously I would never share that info. on here

Going to be Bobby Nuemann if they decide to order off the Value Menu.

Okay......

Coach Pants 11-08-2006 01:57 PM

Dave Johnson would be perfect for Gulfstream and MAGNA.

Phil Saltzman. Real, real nice guy. Hangs out where I do at Calder.... On the roof around the 1/16 pole. I'd name drop and say I know him, but every time I say Hello, he has to ask me my name. Very friendly nice guy.

I was at Calder Monday, Meadowlands was running. it was a 5 horse race and they were right on top of the wire when Dave J must have noticed he missed saying, "and down...". i swear he finished shouting it after the race was over.

Durkin is still head and shoulders above the field when it comes to the big events. Just hearing Dennman on BC day made it less enjoyable. You could tell he really wanted Bernardini to win so he could make a big call, but that did not happen. For a guy thats supposed to be techniquely perfect, he made an awful amount of mistakes.

I would like to see Tony Calo take over at Gulfstream if possible. You either love him or hate him, but he has the ability to make an claiming 2,000 race seem like the kentucky derby. He was screwed by Magna also after they hired Wrona at GGF, and he is now filling in at Turf Paradise. He would excel if given the chance.

If you dont remember him, hes the guy that always says "And theerrrre they gooo" to start each race.

If you want to hear him, go to calracing.com and go to the replays and search Lost in the Fog, he is announcing the one on 10/1/05 for the Bay Meadows Speed Handicap.

I'd rather go deaf, but to each his own.
