You may be right.

Just bummed because nearly every bet I had singled or keyed him today lol. Also, my internet froze so I saw them leave the gate and then got to see the last 10 seconds.

At least he somehow managed to get 3rd. I’ll get $10 back from TVG. The only thing I won all day!

casp0555 03-02-2019 04:57 PM

in the free NHC qualifier, there are 7 players tied for the lead with one race to go, each player selected all Program #4s....there were at least two cap horses that were 4...great job handicapping

One of the 4’s

Question if it were you, would you accept the seat?

herkhorse 03-03-2019 07:54 AM

I see people doing that all the time, especially in the free tourneys. I've been beat by people doing that in cash tourneys as well. It sucks when they win, but they didn't break any rules.

Yup but going forward do you think there should be changes?

herkhorse 03-03-2019 09:03 AM

I'm not sure. There were probably just as many people that picked random numbers or names without handicapping at all. If they won, you wouldn't even know it. Hard to police.

cal828 03-03-2019 10:20 AM

One things for sure, if there is a way to scam something, people are going to figure it out. I guess they just look at whichever post position has the most winners and play that. I think it explains something I've wondered about and that is why some players are good enough to get into one of the better tournaments and then they hit nada. I figured it was probably over reaching for longshots which we probably all tend to do at times, but maybe this is the better explanation.
Doesn't seem like it would be all that hard to police, if they played the same "random" number in every race.

casp0555 03-03-2019 12:38 PM

in the early bird feeder on Horse Tourneys there is...you guessed it, two "players" with all fours and they are ranked in the top group with one race to go. They hit one pick so far and it was a $45 play
