AS,

I appreciate your humor (sometimes), but you'd be hard pressed to find 3-5 good opinions that you have had on the races prior to the running of the race. Your best opinion is that of our fearless leader, who's picks you probably blindly bet w/o looking at the pp's.

You're still funny, so there's that.

Dec I won the Saratoga contest back to back years and called Creator as the bet of the year 3 weeks before the Belmont . I may have been wrong about mo Damour but at least she's 20-1 or more every time .

My angles are what I play religiously, but if you ignore Byk you are being foolish. I've hit plenty of bet blind Byk tickets. But I was cashing tickets when I was 12.

Here are some of what I bet or don't bet

No bets....
Adding lasix off a win.....never
Win the 1x run back in the 2x.....absolutely not
13 or more final furlong... No thanks 7 or more final 1/16 ...um, no
Leo Obrien, Zito , or other guys who don't win....no Dallas Stewart...nope
No gappy guys
Hosses who don't pass....eliminate em

Good angles
Forster Homebred for a tag off a short set
Passers of hosses
Blinkers off
1:02 5 furlong works
Shug 5/8 work after all those halfs
Street boss first time turf
Stack mare turf
Grand slam mares
Early bullets so that they know he has speed and can build a bottom
Inside to outside post
Lone race experience in race
Turn back to one turn
GATE EXCUSE first start.... Best of them all
Mare power....that is , at least one winning sibling in the grass
Byk's next best ( secret code for whom to bet flat)
See these angles at work in the pick 5 at Belmont tomorrow

1-4-5
6-7
3-4-5
1-5-6
2-6-9

declansharbor 07-12-2016 06:09 PM

Let me clarify this before he roasts me on a spit.

3-5 opinions outside of mythical money contests.

I'll have a contest with him, for fun if he wants. Just to shut him up.

I said you or Andy couldn't wArm the boss up....nothing more nothing less. Never called him trash nor would I.

I appreciate the response.

I'm fully aware of your Toga tourney prowess. I've brought your picks up to a few guys that I know follow this board when I see them at the Turf Club. Phenomenal job, truly. ..... But Rock has turned things around. His image and his handicapping definitely has taken a 180 over the years. Anybody that denies that is delusional. He's made bets before that made me question if he's crazier than JimmyEllis, but who am I to speak of their validity. I'd like to think they've all been real, but I don't have much doubt about his recent string of success. Props due.

Kind words. I appreciate it, truly. I love racing, its my passion. I used to act like an ******* and I have worked hard to put that behind me, here and in my day to day life. I put a lot of time in my handicapping and Alabama is just blatantly disrespectful when it comes to me. Nothing he says about me has any substance.... He's been challenged, I doubt he accepts.

Alabama Stakes 07-12-2016 08:19 PM

Turned over a new leaf ?

Was that when you changed from rock hard ten username ?

So you pm me out of nowhere and tell me to stop praising Byk, and also to tell some guy who hasn't posted here in years (Dahoss) who I wouldn't know from Adam, that he is a fraud. Can you explain why ?

Do you really think the display against lone star will get it done vs me ? How much do you want to lose ?

freddymo 07-12-2016 08:19 PM

If there was a best on Derby Trail Thread this would have to be considered.

People wonder why narcotics are so prevalent....How cant you after reading this.

blackthroatedwind 07-12-2016 09:03 PM

I want to offer a sincere thanks to those that contributed to a thread that is pure comedy gold. Here I thought that nobody could top accusations that tellers and waiters at Arlington were attempting to steal $5 from patrons, when suddenly the thread devolves into an argument of who is a better handicapper during repeated posts of people unable to correctly use the quote function.

It honestly doesn't get any better than this, at least on the Internet. I award this thread the highest honor....10 pies. Thanks for the laughs.

Only way it gets better is to watch you with a 5x5x5x5x5 pick 5 displayed behind you on your simulcast. While you talk down to us on Derby Trail.

PURE COMEDY GOLD !

I think he's as sharp as it gets, but he's simply put, not very nice. There's at least 3,4 people on twitter with accounts just to mess with him.

No . Will drop the shortest price hoss . That was just a browse pick 5 capped during this mornings double flusher ghost.

Dear fuc*&%ing god. I am dying here. We go from fraudulent checks, tellers, and overpriced salad from a $2 jagoff with a cross to bear.. To Possible LONESTAR part deux challenge, all coupled with a beautiful visual of Serling with his 5X play on the screen behind him. I can't..I just can't..I can't friggen breathe!! HAHAHAHHAAAA

$500 is an exaggeration. I went $400 last race at Santa Anita Sunday, after hitting the Belmont pick 5. It all depends on the situation. I hardly bet every race......
I was talking about my size/appetite. Not the price so much.

I’m not here to nitpick, but unless these aren't real wagers, it’s not an exaggeration

i posted your 3 wagers from race 10 on saturday at belmont.
meaning, prior to race 10, you wagered $520 on the outcome of race 10.

is your thought process that if you bet a double you've spread your bankroll amongst two races? if that's the case it's most definitely not an exaggeration

yep. and I wouldn't think it was skimming...but when the teller got so defensive when the mistake was pointed out, that's just odd.
years ago I worked for a vending company. one driver used to be right on with his money. and then he started being short each week, 40-60 bucks. not any one big shortage, a dollar here, a dollar there in his machines. he was let go. and at his next job, he was arrested for stealing.

I was indicted, never convicted.

Like I said its situation specific. But it is an exaggeration to act like I'm saying or actually betting $500 per race I bet. I hit the Baffert/Shug double for over 2k Saturday, then blew out of the pick 4. So yes, in that situation those 3 bets are what you say.

Didn't understand that "stature" remark either. In the upcoming Battle of the Titans handicapping contest, Rock may win, if they ever get out of the insulting stage and get down to business. As Declan said, RH10's play is much improved, but in a war of words, who could beat "this morning's double flusher ghost." :tro: Sounds like dialogue that should have been spoken by Rocky Balboa or maybe Ratso.:D

I got it. Much of what you say, I don't get, but I got that one and as Declan said you are a very funny guy and no criticism intended from me towards you or Rock. As others have said this whole thread was pretty entertaining, especially for what is usually a boring Tuesday. I look forward to the Clash of the Titans. Don't do that somebody's got to leave thing though. Nobody ever does and it wouldn't be the same place, if people did.

Look you are a player not a whale but a real honest to goodness gambler betting REAL money. I hope you used Alabama's proven angles in future...Did this Shug 5/8 work after all those halfs
figure in the 2000.00 Double SCORE. I have to tell you reading about your plays is great insight thanks for posting.

Not that it really matters now, but I think every cashed/cancelled ticket is saved in the machine unless its a tax ticket which tellers hand in manually, the manager should / could have opened it up. Seems very huffy puffy for what was a 5 second fix if calm heads were had.

August 4th 2014. Race 7. Your top play was Rumble Doll. I wasn't looking at the horse to include in my P4. Well I listened, sparking a 4785.00 P4 payout. I thanked you as you were walking out through the backyard. Well, thanks again. All others can ignore your top plays at their peril. Especially at the SPA.

Even A broken clock is right twice a day.

He has several top picks in any given race. There isnt a horse he doesnt like.
I am not sure if he is a handicapper or auditioning for Saturday night live.
Either way he is funny.

Yeah, you're right. It should be marked (so that it's not paid twice) and inside the machine.

then when the supervisor pointed it out to the teller...she started with this crap...how do we know its his ticket ? yah, i found the ticket on the floor, or someone else gave it to me.....sheesh...

the broad tried to rip me off, plain and simple !!...so did the waiter...lie cheat and steal
