glad it went as it did tho. Dont care for pitt.

leave the football strategy to the men dear.

Goodall's goons were hard at work last night with 5 phantom calls against the Patriots in the 4th quarter to stop the streak. Goodall is pure evil in the same way that Bernie Madoff is. Time for a new commisioner for sure

all the calls that team gets I wouldn't be too upset.

i'll explain it so you can understand it....down 5....3 min to play.
if you kick a FG, you have to stop the other guys and get the ball back and drive all the way down the field, for a FG try that he may miss.
if you go for it, you either take the lead, or get stopped, and then you're in the same situation of having to stop them. either way you have to stop em. 4 yards from the end zone...you go for the TD. it's a no brainer. understand ? or am i being too obtuse for you ?

yes, i know full well what is required.
one should be able to depend on ones defense. had they scored anything, they'd have had to stop the other team from scoring.
down five, score a td. up by two.
other team marches just enough to kick a fg, they win.

right?
so, no matter what, they had to stop the team subsequently. if they go for a td, and get no points, they're down by 5 still. then, they have to stop the other team, and get a td.
so, no matter what, they had to stand on defense. but, by kicking a fg, you only need another fg.
go for it, don't make it, gives the other team some momentum.

as for 'explaining so i can understand'....again, gfy. ass. shove your misogyny.

and the bad call they made... was going for the fake fg when sea knew they were going to try.

Alabama Stakes 11-30-2015 12:21 PM

You are proving my point with that drivel. What is it you don't understand ?
down 5, 3 minutes to go , 4 yard line you go for the touchdown.

Danzig 11-30-2015 01:01 PM

not sure why you're so riled about this anyway, even had they got the td, the d didn't stop seattle, who scored another td. so, regardless, the steelers would lose.
and if they couldn't get a td in three tries, how would they manage on the fourth?
no matter what pitt did, they had to stop seattle to win-which they didn't do. and tomlin knew they had to stop seattle regardless-which is why he took the easy three. because a stop means they could potentially get another three, but no points at all would have doomed pitt. they'd have had to get a td in the amount of time left.
tomlin did the right thing, his d cost him in the end. if a team scores 30 or more, they ought to be assured a win.

asudevil 12-04-2015 09:45 AM

Can anyone give a guess to what the odds would be,that 3 NFL prime time games in a row, would end on the very last play? AND the team losing would get a TD to cover the number!

Danzig 12-04-2015 11:07 AM

on pattern recognition.....

'Religion, superstition, and conspiracy

Pattern recognition combined with post hoc reasoning can lead to a strong form of magical thinking. Basically, people are prone to see patterns where there are none (such as in occurrences of "bad luck" and "good luck") and then attempt to attribute them to some sort of correlation (such as the clothes worn that day). This has been correlated to a feeling of loss or lack of control.'

Alcoholism is a disease dear. When an employee asks for help, the employer must offer assistance, not fire the employee.

In last nights game there was another example of idiot coaching by Garret fir the Cowboys vs Indians . All they have to do is sit down, run the clock and kick the FG for the win. On Second down as a whistle from the crowd I thought it was the Cowboys calling timeout just so they could tell everybody don't get clever here and score a touchdown make sure you get down but Noooo. Let's pad my stats and give them another chance.
Oh they just tied the game . That's it Desean , you just fumbled the game away after running 20 yards backward. And you are being a punk a minute later in the end zone ? Oh wait ... You lost anyway loser

Alabama Stakes 12-13-2015 05:44 PM

Oakland up 3 go for 2 .... Unbelievable .

Drawing dead in AFC. Will be rooting for Eagles now that the Bills have been eliminated. Can't believe how Rexed our defense is this year after being the best last year.

Unfortunately it appears as though Fitz has taught Kirk Cousins everything he knows :(

You are way better handicapping the hosses than the pig skins . Pretty poor display there.
Cool seeing the old dolphins last night. They are certainly a crusty lot. Super Duper was even there.
The 85 bears were top 3 all time best teams, but their one loss was to Miami on MNF. Shula came up with an incredible game plan. He had Marino roll out against the 46 defense. Marino had The strong arm to get the ball down field to the Marx brothers saw her running open in the secondary. Still the most money I ever bet on a game.

Marshall, Decker and two good backs can make up for a lot of bad Fitz.

Where are your picks at before the season started? Cant seem to find them.

You seem to live 95% of your life clinging to the past, so im sure you can come up with something.

They'd be a realllly nice unit if they went out and nabbed a top tier tight end one of these years. Spice things up a little.

Jace Amaro showed some good flashes last year but unfortunately had to have season-ending shoulder surgery in training camp this summer. Hopefully he can build on his rookie year next season.

Best thing for the Bills long-term is to make him a one-and-done coach. It's only gonna get worse from here.

I'm thinking the pats will dump today to the jets in an effort to keep the dangerous Steelerd out of the playoffs

Im thinking Pats ill dump today cause they barely have enough skill position players to field a team. Stay by the phone.

Well you nailed it. Bizzare.

Alabama Stakes 12-28-2015 09:22 AM

This might be the best postseason ever. Teams best equipped for the playing conditions will be dangerous . This guy Shard on the pats is a beast , the rest of the d line is effective When our defense has Hightower Freeney Nincovich and Collins in at LB , were very good . Chung mccourty Ryan and Butler are all very solid . Mayo stinks but other than that , we re good

The steelers didnt look dangerous at all yesterday. Pats could have locked up home field with a win. The more i think on it, the less plausible the theory becomes imo.

Steelers are the only team in AFC with a legitimate shot to beat Pats. They had a bad game yesterday for sure but it was one of those rivalry all records out the window games. They IMO are a dangerous out if they get in.

it was the ravens superbowl. the world was on the steelers but the line didn't budge. something was in the air.. knocking down those teasers and flat bets on pittsburgh was the only thing that saved the bookies yesterday

Stop it Jim. Their defense is terrible. They're one receiver better than the Giants.

"Let's play the team that just beat us and plays us tough every time (oh and sent us golfing as the 1-seed the last time they got in) instead of a team that lost to Ryan Mallett off the couch."

Makes sense.

Well seems like the odds makers don't think I am delirious. I don't like Osweiller or an injured Peyton so I would rank the Steelers ahead of them.

Same oddsmakers who made them -10 on the road in a rivalry game yesterday? How'd that work out? Plenty of Steelers fans in Vegas.

I'm not making a line, but I think it's wide open. When healthy, the Patriots and Bengals should be 1-2, but both have major injury concerns. I could see anybody but the Texans winning the AFC. I just don't agree with the idea that the Steelers are this juggernaut to be afraid of because they have some flashy receivers and get bet in Vegas.

Good observation that the bungles can't get through with a QB with one win under his belt

herkhorse 12-28-2015 06:28 PM

bungles, flats and broncos are going nowhere
lots of red in the superbowl, KC and AZ
