i hate seeing that picture of this douche holding the dead leopard. my favorite big cat.

So he's all, "I'm happy to cooperate" but when it comes to actually cooperating, he's run away and hid from the authorities. He sure isn't acting like someone who thought what he was doing was legal.

What an utter, utter coward of a human being.

he's already proven himself a liar in the bear incident. and he obviously has no ethics, considering his record in hunting and fishing.
too bad such a majestic and beloved animal died at the hands of such a person.

And he was hoping to kill an elephant while he was there, too, but only a really big one with huge tusks:

As Jimmy Kimmel said, dude, there's a pill for your problem.

Aaaand another American doctor kills a lion illegally:

I'm not sure if it's that there's something about the medical profession that attracts men who need to kill rare animals, or if it's just that the medical profession earns them enough money to afford their "hobby."

Again, there's a pill for their problem. Much cheaper and less threatening to biodiversity.

I'm just glad that the rumors about Jericho also having been killed appear to be just that. he's all that's between those cubs and certain death from another male trying to take over the pride. hopefully the next few months go ok, and the cubs get what they need most...time.

Me too. It was interesting to learn that Cecil and Jericho aren't related; that it's not unusual for two unrelated males to team up and the reason Jericho is protecting the cubs is because the surviving male doesn't know which cubs are his and which are the other guy's. Hey, whatever works.
