Can't wait to hear what he has to say about this one. Probably gonna rant about his horse coming off the rail as the only reason WTC got the win. Those voodoo dolls must not be working.

his hoss Moreno is a nice hoss. tries hard. ran a game second. got squeezed at the start which didn't help, He's my classic hoss.

will take charge's gallop out after the Travers was unusual to say the least.

It's early for a Charles Town Classic pick.

As if the weight put on this horse by Guillot isn't enough.

No actually it wasn't.

People see what they want to see, that's really what it is. If you want to think there was something shady, you'll find it. Didn't see anything wrong with the ride. I've seen perfectly natural, non-buzzer sudden turns of foot in other races and nobody groused about those. He obviously surged once in the clear.

For all the people who believe that they "saw something" I'd like to ask how many close up video shots of gallop outs have they watched to be able to put it into context. The true answer would most likely be none.

guillot doesn't want to let it go, does he?

Speaking by phone, Guillot was quoted in the New York Daily News as saying, "It set it right up for Will Take Charge, who was the best horse today."

Of course, letting go isn't easy, and Guillot had to resurrect the past when asked if there was anything questionable this time around.

"I don't know," he said in the Daily News story, "I didn't see a late surge like I saw in the Travers."

What he saw in the Travers is debatable, though what can be said with more certainty is that Guillot would have been better served if he had been less verbose after the Travers. While he was within his rights to file a complaint with the New York State Gaming Commission, Guillot crossed a line in his comments about the incident. He served as judge, jury and executioner in issuing numerous comments that Saez was guilty beyond a shadow of doubt -- and in the end, his tone may wind up tarnishing his own reputation if the case is dismissed

It is extremely hard to further tarnish the reputation of someone that most everyone already thinks is an idiot.

Saez Cleared

Steve

Can you have Guillot back on ATR to issue the public apology to D Wayne and Luis. He indicated he would do so when final decision from the investigation was reached. Also a donation from Guillot and Moreno to the disabled jockey fund in the amount of money spent on the investigation would seem appropriate.

Merlinsky 10-04-2013 11:32 PM

Bravo. Poor Luis, having his named dragged through the mud. At least this wasn't on the level that Jose Santos faced. I'm glad Will Take Charge got that win in the PA Derby. If Guillot sincerely believed he saw something, I get wanting to stand up for yourself, but the way he did it smacked of poor sportsmanship.

Maybe.. I'll ask. And we can have Lukas on too and he can account for the things a lot of people would like to see him answer to...
