Note that I am segmenting for age, so not including 2YOs. I know that there are a few differences in some of the timestamps on DRF and BRIS stats...but the last five year #s below should negate most of that.

Peter Miller - ALL ages debuting MCL last five years = 16/89 - 18%
Peter Miller - 3&up debuting MCL last five years = 2/29 - 7%
Peter Miller - 3&up debuting MCL last five years at DMR = 0/7

There should be some difference in debuting a 2YO for a tag and 3.5YO, at least I would think so...

I've added...

Peter Miller - 2YOs debuting MCL last five years = 14/60 = 23%
Peter Miller - 2YOs debuting MCL last five years at DMR = 8/20 = 40%

Let me worry about my bankroll. You need to worry about chasing a woman around Belmont who you have no chance of landing, even if you weren't wearing a ridiculous backpack. :D

No prob. As for the Miller stat, I shuddered when I heard someone on TVG say that debuting in maiden claimers is a great stat for Peter Miller...

Congrats to all who had it.

Thanks for the info. Switched my ticket around and threw in the #9 that Steve Dav. talked about on the radio show and nearly got close to hitting a nice Paying P5.

declansharbor 08-16-2012 12:46 AM

3 friends (1 horseplayer and 2 know nothings) and I tossed $20 each and hit it on an $80 ticket. I remember seeing even chalkier p5 payouts 5-10x more, so needless to say i was pretty upset after seeing the will-pays, esp after touting it as a nice score opportunity. It beats losing though, so i hope that fact doesn't get lost in all of this.

i'll pay for the bindings right about now if you want to sell me half that ticket?

It’s a syndicate seth, everything is 50/50

and keep your head up mitch, you'll be chasing women who are out of your league at derby lane or belmont some time in the near future....

Congrats all on the hits.. Well done!

Alabama Stakes 08-16-2012 06:21 AM

threw the 2 in the first end and played steves ticket the rest of the way. that 2 was 7-1. he looked like all kinds of a winner. what do you think it would have paid if he won to start it

tanner12oz 08-16-2012 07:26 AM

not to sound like the typical gambler but "i should have had it"....

tried to save some bones and dumped the 6 in the first because of his always a bridesmaid never a bride winning percentage...

oh well....thought the sequence ended up being a disappointment with lots of chalk...

obviously its all about the bottom line but when i cash a pick 5 i want to be signing my name

good handicapping by all and love the fact this thread got this much play

One of my favorites; "Not to sound like -______".... It comes in all forms. "Not to sound like an *******" , "Not to be picky", "Not to be rude", etc, etc.. but immediately do it in the next sentence..

tanner12oz 08-16-2012 07:46 AM

i just wanted people to know that i was fully aware of sounding like the typical track rat =)

would rather sound like a track rat and know i sound like a track rat then sound like a track rat and think i am full of class

was interesting that the pick 6 didnt take much of a hit yesterday....was something like 5 million dollars in in the pick 5 and pick 6 pools alone...del mar handle was probably insane yesterday
