I heard speculation that Kevin Boss may end up back there. They did have two TE's go down in the Superbowl so they may need to add another one. Could be good for Bennett though, he was never going to get a ton of touches with Witten there.

mclem0822 03-14-2012 05:53 PM

Latest deal.......

Jags and WR Laurent Robinson agree 5 years $32.5

Bills and Mario Williams close to a deal. A good signing for the Bills, but I a am amazed a couple other teams didn't push harder. ATL and Jags certainly need pass rush help!

This will seriously help the opportunistic DBs on that D.

I thought he signed with the Giants? Not the Pats!

I'll make you a deal. You could be the best team, as long as we keep having the parades.

Lastest news on Manning watch.....

Peyton Manning has informed the Dolphins they are out of the running. Look for Matt Flynn to be next fit in MIA. Peyton is on a plane to N.C. to work out for the Bronco's. I hear Ten. could still be in this, what has happened to ARI, would be my question! Stay tuned.

perhaps az gave him a deadline so he said no? they have to decide by tonight, as they'd have to give kolb a bonus tomorrow.

Great point, i think it's today at like 5pm that could be a factor. It just looked like a good fit with Fitz that would be a potent combo. The watch goes on.

mclem0822 03-16-2012 11:44 AM

SD signed WR Eddie Royal, deal must have fell thru earlier with the Redskins.
The Redskins have signed FS Brandon Merriweather 2 year deal $6 million to make up for the soon to be departing LaRon Landry. I hear NE may come after Landry.

MaTH716 03-16-2012 01:39 PM

The 49ers are apparently in the race.

i'll be AZ is crushed by the news.

i just don't see him in the nfc, which would preclude the niners. i really think he goes with denver.

I know he would rather play in the AFC, but you have to think that SF would be a pretty intriguing spot.

Coach Pants 03-16-2012 02:10 PM

Titans are the best fit. They will poach all of the local Manning fans...and there are a plethora.

oh, i think it is. personally i'd choose it over the others. i just think that he'll stay in the afc.

Gotta be Denver, this is the perfect place for injury recovery, dry climates promote healthy joints. Or any other thing I can say that will make him come here as I cannot be a Cowboys fan anymore.

with him having gone to tenn in college, it wouldn't shock me to see him end up there. but are they set up as well for post season? i just think denver, or sf, would be the best choices as far as having playoff chances.

Johnson and a healthy Britt? Yeah they are ready.

Clip-Clop 03-16-2012 02:24 PM

Think of what Peyton could do with all the possessions the Broncos get. Think of how good that Defense will be without three quarters of three and outs to deal with every game.

Coach Pants 03-16-2012 02:48 PM

They would go over the ego cap. Would have to trade Elway.

Talk about someone to help get the best out of those young WR's. Solid running game with Gore, Vernon Davis is outstanding. You add Peyton, with that front 7 on D hell the division may be wrapped up if he signs lol!

Not sure the city could handle all those teeth either. Lots of teeth...:D

3kings 03-16-2012 03:34 PM

I think he ends up in San Francisco, who saw him throw a couple of days ago.. Best defense easy division.

Too much rain for that injury, he would be one stiff old man there.

Rudeboyelvis 03-16-2012 09:17 PM

Dolphins out - workout at Duke was fine, Elway very high on him in Denver... Looks like Tenn next - between DEN, SF, TN.... will announce Monday or Tuesday - per NFL network

Latest deal......

Adam Schefter reporting QB Matt Flynn and Seattle have agreed on a 3 year contract worth up to $26 million/$10 mill guaranteed. Well wonder which won will stay to back him up Chuck Whitehurst, or T-Jack.

mclem0822 03-18-2012 04:28 PM

Alex Smith has visited MIA and David Garrard has a visit upcoming this week.

Them corting Peyton may have lost them Flynn, i thought he would end up there but maybe he didn't wanna be 2nd choice. They may be forced to stick with Matt Moore now, and draft the next best prospect.

Alex Smith supposed to sign in Miami. It will be interesting if Manning doesn't go to SF.

Thanks. Had not heard that, A.J. Smith is still running things, guess it's not a shock. :zz:
