I hope they hold on. I bet the Broncos.

It's well known around here that the Steelers are crippled with injuries on offense and the running back coach all but died in a fire this week. Death by fire to a coach has to be a distraction.

However, I am surprised that the Geriatric Steelers defense (average age 48 and missing the quarter back of the defense because he has sickle cell) is doing so poorly. However, the entire Steelers starting D-line is now out of the game.

This might be the most crippled NFL team I've ever seen.

Danzig 01-08-2012 05:42 PM

i hope denver manages to win. sick of rottenburger.

This has to be the worst playoff game ever.

He's played better this week. It helps when the team you are playing is as beat up as the Steelers are.

Coach Pants 01-08-2012 06:31 PM

Then why was the line so skewed towards pitt? You guys were wrong about tebow. It's ok because it's difficult for nerds to think outside of stats. He's an anomaly.

Just know that I was right about the guy. I've watched him for years and he's a special player.

And anytime your opinion is in line with stephen a smith then you should reassess it and switch sides immediately.

i heard some questioning why the line wasn't bigger. tied up-hoping tebow and co can get a score.

and your last line is right on!

Right...because when your opinion is in line with Skip Bayless, it must be right.

I just wonder where the hell you were the last 3 weeks when he played terrible.

Oh so it wasn't the team when they lose? Lol k.

I can post about tebow everyday. Still won't change the fact that he's a winner and has been proving the haters wrong since high school

You've really changed your tune in regards to Tebow in the last few weeks.
Here's your response to Uncly last year when she said Tebow was going to be an effective QB in the NFL.

I didn't think he would be under McDaniels. Fox had success with Delhomme. I figured if Delhomme could win under him then surely Tebow could.

Plus I had crimson-colored glasses. It's easy to hate Tebow when he's trying to beat your team.

Plus I have no problem admitting I'm wrong...unlike some folks.

clyde 01-08-2012 08:12 PM

Well so much for thinking out of the box, although it was put to light by the angered Mr. Never Wrong.

Coach Pants 01-08-2012 08:15 PM

Ok, mr. Positivity

clyde 01-08-2012 08:18 PM

Just thayin'.

Forgot to add...so solly.

Calzone Lord 01-08-2012 08:22 PM

New England is -14 next week.

Muhammed Ali was better prepaired to fight Larry Holmes than the Steelers were ever going to be today with all of the major injuries and distractions.

I think Scooter Davis was seen in the Steelers locker room at halftime with a syringe. How the hell could Big Ben not even be able to walk in the 2nd quarter -- and he comes out and is running around in the 2nd half.

Troy Pola-smoka gets all the credit in the Steelers secondary ... but the best safety for the Squealers wasn't in the line-up.

This division is going to be the Cleveland Browns division very shortly.

I'm wrong plenty and own it when I am. There's an entire thread of horrible picks this summer at Saratoga where I was basically wrong for 6 weeks straight.

I've always had a lot of respect for your football knowledge and have told you that many times. I don't hate Tebow. All I tried pointing out was that there were other things going on in the games this year besides what Skip Bayless and the idiots at ESPN were saying. It does matter when teams are missing key players, or have a lot of injuries.

Tebow is a very good football player. I've said it multiple times in the other thread. I don't hate him at all. I do find some of his religious stuff off putting, but whatever. If I had to guess, you probably do as well. Doesn't mean I don't think he's a good football player. I just question how good he is as a QB. It's not something that can really be determined right now. I think we'll get a better idea of how good he is next year and beyond when he has more time with the offense and other teams have had a chance to see him again.

I can't stand the Steelers and dislike the Pats even more, so I'll actually be rooting for Broncos next week. If having me rooting for him doesn't get them beat....nothing will.

Coach Pants 01-08-2012 08:25 PM

I was talking about hig..I don't like the guy. I want him to shut the f.uck up.

Morty did you see the entries at Aqueduct next Wednesday? There's a horse named If Not for Morty running in the 9th race.

Hopefully she has a little more heart than her namesake.

whoops.

Coach Pants 01-09-2012 07:48 AM

I knew tebow would prosper because you can't stand religion and singled him out for his flamboyant love of the jesus.

He godsmacked you. 316 yards. Woogity boogity OooOoOooOoOOoO

Antitrust32 01-09-2012 11:51 AM

Such an awesome game and great performance by man man Tebow.

I was watching at a bar so there was no volume.. but why wasnt that lateral pass Big Ben threw called a fumble? Did the refs blow the whistle making the play dead?

That ends any shot at their comeback if they had gotten the call right. I thought they had told the refs to hold off on quick whistles a few years back. Hell of a game, sadly I had to give up my tix due to travel. My office enjoyed it thoroughly.

17-6 LSU
Aim to play money line and Under parlayed for 50 and LSU +2.5 for a buck.

Best of luck to you. I love LSU just like the first time. Not sure how anyone can justify taking Bama as the chalk in this game......
