A French Horse who was, as name suggests, a French horse, yesterday at Towcester after falling.
It was only his 8th start (he was 8 years old) and of the 8 he'd won one and had fallen once before. Rest in peace. |

Dansimar was a 7 year old daughter of Daylami who was fatally injured at Sandown on the 5th. Unless I'm reading it incorrectly this was her first ever G3 try. Sadly, she was owned by Let's Live Racing. It's always sad but I found that, well... I just wanted to mention it. Jump in peace, good girl. * * * Battlefield. Excerpt... Poor guy. Fenix Two and Marching Song died after being electricuted today at Newbury. Horrific. Other horses were burned in their mouths. :(

Belend, an 8 year old, in the 7th at the Fair Grounds yesterday clipped heels, fell and was euthanized. I believe he went off as the favorite.
He was a barn favorite for Gail and Michelle and a hard working boy in the claiming ranks that loved to race. He won his last time out at the FG on Feb. 7th. He was to be retired at the end of the year. May he run with the angels and keep winning. He will be missed.:( |
