What was Ramsammy doing there Fats?

the_fat_man 07-28-2010 06:19 PM

Emile Ramsammy really just needs to die. He's just a flat out piece of ****. He can't do dick right. There are many jocks I loathe but he and Espinoza are at the very top of the list.

Just a little side about how STUPID trainers are:

One of the analysts on the WO live feed spoke to the trainer of the 7, Trelawny before the race. The trainer thought that the reason the horse was such a quitter ('had bad luck', in her words) was because of the draws it'd been getting. Trelawny doesn't like to run INSIDE of horses per the trainer and the jock was instructed to put him OUTSIDE today. So, what happens? Well, Ramsammy is in the race so you know he's going to do his best to **** IT UP. Now, clearly, Trewlany is a QUITTER. Tonight, Ramsammy bust his 1ster out of the gate on top, with Trewlany 2nd BEHIND and INSIDE that one, and the 1A outside of Trewlany. The 1ster (#8) QUITS like a pig on the turn, Trewlany comes through INSIDE of him and draws off. So much for not liking to be inside of horses. But even though the trainer is an IDIOT the real point is that Ramsammy gave this race to a quitter by gunning his horse out of the gate and doing the dirty work early. A horse that took quite a bit of money, as well.

Trainer's are as much to blame for bad rides as riders, as a bettor it is natural to blame the jockey after a bad ride but there are times they are just doing what the boss says.

This idea about horses not liking the inside is just a ****in joke. It's LAZY training. As an athlete, which would you prefer: being INSIDE and doing a ton less work or being outside and losing your lunch?

When I was on the track 30 years ago, I remember one day walking by a barn and noticing a couple of, relatively, BIG exercise riders. I inquired what their role was and was told that they were there for the horses that need extra 'special' handling. Then again, back in those days you actually had jocks that were able to take hold of a horse and pretty much carry it to the wire: Cordero, Pincay, Antley, among others. Today we have a bunch of pussies that are twirling the reins trying to get their horse to straighten out rather than taking a strong hold and busting it with the whip. Times have changed. The DRIVE: a lost art.

Got to go with what worked in the past, how's that Canani and Miller late double!

the_fat_man 07-28-2010 07:54 PM

I'm not following DMR tonight. As for Canani: if that MOFO wants to train all those foreign horses, maybe he should get the **** over to Europe. ha ha ha

Any American breds in that Mofo's barn?

If a horse is instructed to be ridden outside, the trainer should announce or atleast tell the stewards about it before the race, I am sure that would turn some of the wagering public off. I remember an incident involving Simon Husbands not preservering with a horse that finished 2nd when it looked like a vigorous hand ride would have done the trick, apparently the jock was instructed to ride less and he would get better results. The stewards did not agree, now I have never heard of a passive ride being better than a vigorous one. But the public didn't know, if they had I am sure he would have been 2x the price he went off. Just let the public know your intentions beforehand, ie. no whip in the program

WO R6:

interesting race:

There appear to be only two horses in the race that can get 6.5F: #2, Gray Mesa and #3, Kahanamoku. The latter hasn't been out since last September but appears to be much better than the 2 and offers much better value. The 4 and the 6 figure to be pacesetters.

No value in using the 2 on top so:

Canani had a very quiet Hollywood meet, but he usually perks up at Delmar he is now 2 for 5 atleast, I only played the 6th, 7th and 8th so I am not even sure if he had other horses running today. But you catch him while you can, Blue Chagall perked up without blinkers, but if he keeps hitting it will be tough getting odds like these on him, same with Miller. These guys seem to target Delmar. As for P Val, he didn't go nuts on the lead, he rode a good patient race in the 6th. I fully expect to see some big prices on him or until people believe he can still compete on the big circuits.

the_fat_man 07-28-2010 08:18 PM

Another Ramsammy ****up. Someone needs to get him to read the form before he rides.
