Yeah, it would appear their signing room comes a year too late, though Wyc has had no problem paying luxury tax before. Perk makes 4 and change BTW.

I dont think you can sign that kind of deal if you are already over the cap. You can only resign your own guys to max contracts in that situation. What could happen though is Pierce opts out, they restructure his deal and add years and possibly might open up enough to get them under the cap? |
Rasheed was a MLE guy and you may have to replace a retiring mid level exception guy with another MLE guy. Dont know for sure but thought i remember this happening before.

No doubt that RW fell in love with the three point shot far too often but he was a really good defensive player and effective scorer for championship teams without a real superstar. He was also a hell of a player in portland till he decided he wanted out of that situation which was one of his better ideas. No doubt that his insaneness probably detracted from his overall game but I dont know anyone (well you i guess)who thinks that he didnt have a career that you would have thought he would have had. |

He had a fine career that was 15 years long and he never played fewer than 62 games other than the lockout year. |
It sounds like either Miami or Chicago is going to get hosed. If the Lebron/Bosh to Cleveland deal happens and they turn around and sign Mike Miller/Kyle Korver to the MLE, all of a sudden they are looking tough again and the loser in the D Wade sweepstakes is going to come away pretty empty. Miami has an especially tough scenario without Bosh as they have to fill out the entire roster and cant afford to pay above market prices to midlevel talent which they are almost forced to do.
Atlanta and Memphis both made awful moves, Atlanta especially so. Johnson for a max, $120 million deal is a bad deal if he were 23. Since he is turning 28 the last few years of this deal are gonna be ugly. And do they seriously think this team can make a run after this years disgraceful showing? Memphis giving Rudy Gay $82 million in a year where he is an unrestricted FA was borderline retarded. The Laker's made a typically shrewd move signing Steve Blake to a 4 year deal for 16 million. He is a better option moving forward than Fisher or Farmer, one of which will probably be moving on. Worst signings Johnson -Atl Gay- Mem whoever signs Boozer-? Stoudamire-NYK Chris Duhon-Orlando |

Of course they are. Signing Boozer would be further proof that Donnie Walsh is a fraud |
So let me get this straight. The "capologist" on ESPN is saying that Miami can sign LeBron as well and STILL have 11 million in cap space, a trade exception and the MLE? Why were they saying that they would have almost no room if they signed all three?

lebroun to the nicks

I don't get the Chris Bosh hype.
|
Me neither...is a relative stiff.
If James doesn't get more attention he is going to fake a fall from the courtside seats at Quicken....and fall all the way to the floor. |
He's making the announcement on ESPN at 9est tomorrow.
They are having a primetime "special" for the a-hole. |
I'm surprised there isn't a warm up Larry King interview for this....where absolutley nothing is revealed other than James' admiration for his own ,in reality, ineptitude.

Lebron may have dropped the ball on this one... In this league you cant win an NBA title alone, and Lebron came in with the sort of hype that he needs to win multiple titles to valadate it. Wade has a title already and Bosh is solid enough, if Lebron does not go to Miami, Miami still has like 12 million to fill this team out and they are now an instand contender. I dont think Lebron has any chance to win in Clevland and Im not sold on Chicago, so maybe NY with Amare? **** I dont like Amare, I dont think hes much. Lebron IMO might have to go to Miami, if he wants to win an NBA title.
|
Shelly Smith just reported the South Beach Super team might be happening. Lebron is leaning towards Miami. I think someone posted this on Facebook about a week ago.

Chicago, the loser in the Boozer sweepstakes.
For 16 million a year you get: an undersized post player a defensive liability an oft injured guy a grumbler in the locker room not a particularly good FT shooter His 18 and 10 wont look so bad the next two years if he stays healthy. But this probably wont end pretty because with him it never does. |

I know you have to consider the source but on Around the Horn the dopes were predicting that the heat would now go to the Finals.
At the current time the heat have 4 players committed for next year and may not even have that depending on if Bosh's deal includes a sign and trade. Perhaps it would be prudent to know who a team will actually have on its roster before picking them to go to the Finals. And how quickly has Beasley become the plague? |
Something tells me they won't find time during that hour to show highlights of him missing the Finals in back-to-back "MVP" seasons.
|
Ton of money on the exchanges on NYK's. Could dopey Donnie Walsh actually get it done?
|
LeBron has reportedly changed his tax address to Chicago, IL. Jim Rose on ABC 7 just reported. :)
|
You would think that him leaving Ohio to hold the huge press conference doesn't bode well for the hometown Cavs.
Maybe Donie Walsh did get this done. |
It bodes very well.
It's of small importance on the large scale, but they are better off without him. |

If the Bulls can get Korver I think they will contend but still need someone clutch, and they don't have that at all. Maybe they can get Ben Gordon back in some crazy way, he at least could shoot. |
If he goes to the knicks, I love everyone..... Even Clyde.
|
I just hope LeMoi goes.
Simple. |

Better and better with different players...yet no title. The constant is LeMoi. Like in his stellar performance...5th game ,Celtics. You all beat the same drum, but the majority feels safe in numbers. |
