You didn't answer the question. What more could she have done today? If the answer is nothing, then you should probably admit that you were going to be a hating jerkoff after the race no matter what.

Ah excuse me, you didn't answer mine. When you do maybe I'll return the favor.

Hating jackoff, that's just precious. Notice the Zenyatta faction hasn't used any such descriptions. Nice to be on this side of the conservation.

I told you why she was awesome, and you had no response. Just deflection, as usual. You've had three chances now to explain what more she could've done and why she wasn't impressive, and you can't do so. So yeah, I'd call you a hater.

"Zenyatta faction," "this side," FFS stop with the Crips and Bloods bullshit.

CSC 06-12-2010 03:47 PM

God some people obviously cannot read, ironic since this is a supposed moderator of this forum.

Funny in YOUR world beating a group of gr.2 misfits constitutes a description of 'awesome' when another horse that beats a gr.1 field is described as beating crap. Do me a favor and take some of that free advice you like handing out.
The question is so obvious, do you want me to walk you through it?

CSC 06-12-2010 03:55 PM

I'll save you the trouble, there are different rules of awesome for Zenyatta and Rachel in the world of Asteamstupid. When Rachel beats what some will term a weak gr.2 field it is termed as 'awesome'.

When Zenyatta beats a Gr.1 field of horses it is termed as cowardly and or beating mules.

It's okay just admit you are a hypocrite Asteamstupid.

By the way to answer your question, yes she ran her best race this year, congrats on one step fwd for her.

OldDog 06-12-2010 03:56 PM

Jeez, enough already.

Rachel looked more herself today, and I for one am damned pleased about it. Now it's time to get geared up for the Stephen Foster. What a great day!

I do think its rather ironic that most people RA one of the great fillies of all time, yet on this board in particular Zenyatta has a lot to prove.

Yet there is lots of hyperbole on RA beating those slugs yet Zenyatta takes on St Trinians and Zardana (who beat RA already), carrying 129, yet anything less than a smashing win is somehow just looking to race against tomato cans.

If it were possible, there would probably be a ticker tape parade held after every race Rachel wins, it's beyond hyperbole by some here.

to be fair there is the same after Zenyatta runs, I dont have a problem with the excitement, its the very clear double standard during 2010.

Stop bringing the "great fillies of all-time" red herring up. All I said is that Rachel ran very well today, and Zenyatta fans can't even handle that.

Rachel lost two in a row and needed a race like this before she could step back into the deep end. Zenyatta has won 17 in a row and they still won't even go after Rail Trip. ZOMG, 129 pounds and two more mediocre California horses on a synthetic track, oh brave new world.

Well that is SO, he does his thing here. I don't see anyone else to the degree of what we see in this thread, and this is only the Fleur De Lis, a supposed gr.2.

Self Aware now, I never knew you were a Dr. outside your supposed moderating duties. Way to keep ignoring my question, I'll even congratuate you on your selective memory.

Aleast all was not lost today, it was special seeing the new superstar Unrivaled Belle come on back down to earth.

I didn't see the race, only the results so I don't know how fast they ran or how far she was beaten but the winner has now won 5 in a row.

As well as Rachel ran today her loss to UB was just as impressive IMO considering they both ran faster than the males.

Rachel did beat three former claimers today and she crushed them as she should have.

ateamstupid 06-12-2010 04:37 PM

Rachel's figure will likely come back pretty big, running 1 1/8 in 1:48.78 compared to the Foster's 1:49.37. Obviously the differing paces had something to do with it, but still interesting. Blame is a serious horse, he might be the one to upset the apple cart in the BCC.

Port Conway Lane 06-12-2010 04:40 PM

She again ran 2/5 faster than the boys, and these boys were better than the other ones. I may have to reconsider which of Rachel's races was more impressive:confused:

kgar311 06-12-2010 04:41 PM

Anyone care to knock Rachel now, she would of won that race by open lengths

Travis Stone 06-12-2010 04:41 PM

To run down Battle Plan off those fractions is pretty strong... and he'll get 10f no problem. Very impressive race by Blame.

Agree, he had every reason to get beat chasing that pace.

Makes you wonder what's up with Regal Ransom.

Not to mention he was 3-4 wide around both turns.

I believe he's coming back in the Suburban.

Regal Ransom stole the Super Derby, Blame ran huge to nearly catch him, and he's progressed since. I think he's legit... Battle Plan is no slouch, especially with an easy lead.

Suddenly, the handicap division has a pulse again, though weak, it's a pulse none-the-less. Hopefully Zenyatta will decide to join it at some point.

What she could have done is quit running scared and actually risk losing by trying the Foster where the competition measured up. Just because the "other" camp is afraid of a challenge doesn't mean these guys need to suddenly get shy. Impressive but she beat nothing. I hope they step out next time- win or lose.

Definitely. I hope for her sake, Horse of the Year isn't decided before then.

She needed a confidence builder. It was the right thing to do for the horse.

I was only talking about this race. She needed the win for the fans but more importantly for herself.:)

Running scared? She lost twice this year to mediocre fillies. They should've gone in the Foster off of those two races? Slightly different circumstances than a horse on a 16-race winning streak.

This is a very key point and as much as I would like to see her beat up on the boys again would it be wise to start laying out a competitive schedule against them ?

If their ultimate goal is to win the BCC I would think they would want something left in the tank.
