Really excited about this race. Living in Indiana means I may not get many chances to see any of them run, but I just couldn't stay out of this any longer!

Good boy, Lloyd! I was worried when he looked in the stretch and went, "Ohmygawd, there's a grandstand!" but what a good boy to pass that other horse in the stretch! He had a choice to stay with his buddy there, but ran on by :tro:

I don't know but I really liked how he settled and took off after 'em on the turn and then held onto place

My neighbors were probably wondering too

He sat the best trip in the world behind 4 horses who went out, a few of them checked out of it, turning for home it looked like he could make a run and the chalk pulled away... He did run well, no doubt but this group was really bad, and I would not be quick to bet this horse next time out.

Man you suck. The race actually was quick, and he was green and still finished 2nd....A little early for cold water on this one.

No cold water at all.. He ran well, when I was looking at the race last night with another DT'er we both said this group is horrible and he might have a chance, but IMO with the trip he pulled he should have been closer to the winner... I hope he turns into a stud for these guys.

Lopez was trying to get him to switch leads. Stubborn little guy, he never did while in the pan shot :)

I don't think anyone is saying this horse is a world-beater :) It's a first race. The positive experience is most important, I'd say. He lucked into a good experience for a firster - sat behind, got plenty of dirt kicked in his face but wasn't bumped, pinned, intimidated, checked; then got to come out and learned he has to - and he can - pass horses.

That he got money is a bonus.

Great run! Way to go at 20-1.
