So what you're saying is he's a bad coach.

Not a good day to be an Eagle fan. I have a feeling that they'll bounce back against the Cowgirls this week.

Philly was very embarrasing yesterday and then Low Throw McBlow was even more embarrasing blaming the loss on the young players.

Lets see, the two worst players by far in yesterdays game were McBlow and Sheldon Brown. Supposedly our "veteran leadership". Yet McBlow, as always, blames the kids.

it's going to be up to the eagle d to win this game

the eagle offense has not been able to do anything in 2 games vs big D

tony romo can have a meltdown at anypoint and the eagle d will need to creat scoring opportunites for mcnabb against this D

they were getting points yesterday too

if the eagle d and/or special teams don't create some scoring opps they ain't winning this game

it is possible that the d and st can make some plays , but , in 2 games the eagles haven't done much against big d , you need a romo meltdown to win

You will be getting more points if John Avello reads this site and in particular your post.

I blame Reid and McDermott more then any player. Horrible game plan on both sides of the ball. 10 rushing attempts all game? Too much zone D instead of letting your Pro Bowl corners match up and put more players in the box to stop the run - making Romo beat you. They better get their heads out of their asses this week and come up with something different or this game will be over by the 3rd Q again.

Smooth Operator 01-05-2010 09:12 AM

They'll likely "bounce back" from last Sunday's horrible performance, Patrick333 … hell, they can't play much worse … but the real question is … can they win the playoff contest in Dallas this weekend?

Frankly, I put that possibility at less than 25%.

That was a HUGE game on Sunday … with the division title, first-round bye and guaranteed home playoff game on the line … and that HORROR SHOW was what you got from this team.

This could be an absolutely brutal offseason if they go out with back-to-back losses to Dallas … and we're left trying to deal with the brutal reality of the ringless (and at times seemingly clueless) Reid being under contract for the next several seasons...................

After 11 years the only thing that matters at this point is getting a ring. As the 6th seed the chances of that happening are about 5% at best.
I'm not getting drawn in again like previous years, if they win on Saturday I will fully expect them to lose in NOLA or if a miracle happens in the Conference championship game(unless they play Minn and Favre :D )

declansharbor 01-05-2010 07:04 PM

There were two Eagles that came to play, or coach this past weekend. Their first names? Brent and Sav. There better be some REAL changes in order for the outcome to change this week, even alittle. DAL, it sickens me to say this, is a mighty good, healthy team playing mighty good ball this time of year. I still hate the ****s, but I'll admit when they're doing their thing. Both sides of the ball, getting pressure.

Screw all the records, the haves and have-nots, a lot more is on the line here then the naked eye can see. This weekend's results are gonna re-shape the whole division's look for years to come. Heads will more than likely roll with early exits. 5 might be packing his bags, a scary fkn thought for me. I really don't know what lies ahead this off-season. Next year's looming holdout is bound to cause some disturbances for sure as well.

herkhorse 01-09-2010 06:59 PM

Kick some Cowgirl ass, Wade will be pouting and looking pathetic on the sideline yea...

clem822 01-09-2010 07:18 PM

Freakin penalties killed that Cowboy drive.

herkhorse 01-09-2010 07:48 PM

Cowboys are dominating but it took them a long time to get that first touchdown.....wow and now the Eagles answer as I type.

South Beach Luv 01-09-2010 09:01 PM

Eagles secondary is a joke, much like this game.

South Beach Luv 01-09-2010 09:05 PM

I started handicapping Gulfstream tomorrow after that Vick fumble. I think this game has officialy tilted the scale of me being more of a horse racing fan then an Eagles/NFL fan.
Never thought that would of happened but it's def a good thing.

Smooth Operator 01-09-2010 10:30 PM

Wow … back-to-back ass-beatings by Dallas

Now the delusional losers (Jeffrey "Gold Standard" Lurie, Joe "Best Roster" Banner, and Andy "Top Organization" Reid) can go home and do what they do best … talk.

Reid-McNabb … 0-11 … and counting…

Gales, When Rex wins the Super Bowl with the Jets then feel free to talk about head coaches with hardware. Until then you should probably keep your mouth shut with some of the brilliant names that have been in charge of Gang Green. I'm not saying Tom Coughlin is Vince Lombardi, but he did lead them to 3 staight road playoff wins and then a victory against an unbeaten team. So get off his ass.

Who would have you rather had, Reid or some of those Bums that have coached the Jets the last decade?

i would take Andy Reid over all of them with the exception of Bill Parcells

Reid is a better coach than Coughlin , the record bears it out

Andy Reid is getting into the the Marty Schottenhiemer neighborhood. A very good coach that can't win a big game.

The record might bear it, but I bet you everything I have that Reid would trade it all for one ring.

Say what you want, but you can't fault McNabb last year. He was dynamite against the Cards and got them out of that hole. That was probably their best chance. Only if that vaunted D, could have made one last stand.

bud grant and marv levy would trade everything for the ring that TC that doesn't mean they are not better coaches

yes they looked like highschool vs college lineman..they need some beef upront..and some cover guys that hit.the best way to kill the supah star wide out is to make him hear footsteps..moss is gonna get that today..and fitzgerald too.

Patrick333 01-10-2010 09:34 AM

Yesterday sure was a bad day to be a Eagles fan. As Andy Reid said in his press conference, no excuses. The Cowboys beat the Birds on both sides of the ball. I don't think it's that the Cowboys wanted it more, I think it's just at this stage they are better than my Birds.

Oh well, the sun is shining so today must be better than yesterday.

I never said that they weren't. But there is something to be said for a guy who wins a ring. What did Levy and Grant have, 4 cracks at it apiece? It's amazing to think that they made it that many times and were never able to win the big one.

this is akin to saying the bcj winner couldn't win the derby.

the worst record post season all time is jim mora, 0-6 in the playoffs. second place, til yesterday, was wade phillips at 0-4.

you can't have a shot at the big game if you can't get to postseason.

as for the iggles, i'd point the finger at mcnabb, rather than reid. he seems to choke on big days. late in the first half, mcnabb had a total of two completions. you can't win with garbage play like that-all reid can do is watch at that point.

It's not Andy's fault that Harris, Macho got the penalty for hitting a defenseless receiver, pinning them back on the goal-line. If Demps or Hobb's were healthy, it would've been one of them returning the ensuing kickoff after DEN scored instead of Macho. You can maybe pin the fact that he had a rookie who was flying around at safety back there returning a kick. Reid's never been one to keep his foot on the throat of a team who they've amassed a comfortable lead against.

As for there being no way they beat the Cowboys this week, I hope you use better judgment when it's time for the fazoles to be laid on the line.
