Wow! Great race! :tro:

Coach Pants 10-10-2009 07:01 PM

Great if you're a limey.

Richard's Kid would of won if Solis didn't go wide around the turn. It is the absolute worst place to be on that horrible surface.

NTamm1215 10-10-2009 07:01 PM

Another perfect illustration of what synthetics have done to racing.

i STARTED THE PICK 4... I should have stuck to my 3... I tossed in 2 more, so had to go 5 deep... but still 18-1 start is sufficent enough.

Coach Pants 10-10-2009 07:04 PM

Santa Anita should bring in a few dentists on BC weekend for free cleanings.

I LAUGHED HARD

California racing is funnier than MadTV and Saturday Night Live combined. Hilarious stuff. Mine that Bird didn't look comfortable on that stuff at all. First town down the stretch, you could see he was not running comfortably. Good thing they wasted a race on this stuff to see that.

I can't stop laughing.

They should skip the Classic and head back to Churchill for the Clark to see if he can find the winner's circle again..

However, I will be making hotel reservations in Louisville for 2010 as soon as the hotels start taking them.

They already raced on it and finished last of 12. Why would this time be any different?

You know, as absolutely ludicrous as it is for me to even say it, I think I might be doing the same. Maybe a couple of turf races, but I can't stand that garbage main track.

Lethal Heat ran a good race, she's better than most people give her credit for

Coach Pants 10-10-2009 07:36 PM

To hell with that horse.

Didn't seem to bother Zenyatta ---- if you have it, you have it! And Sheriffs says she's much better on dirt....

Wrong and wrong...

1) I told you not to bet Richard's Kids. You said you thought he was the real deal over this surface. Here are your exact words...

I might play the 6-8 pick 3 and try to beat Zenyatta... In the Goodwood, I will be using 1,3,8... Thinking the 3 might be the real deal over this surface.

Not that I ever said or thought Richard's Kids didnt stand any chance, but missing out on 24/1 in the Pacific Classic and going back to him hoping he could pair up 2 tops in a row and get the same nice trip? Highly unlikely and you were sure to get 3 times lower a price.

2) I didnt bet any horse in this race. I was torn between Tiago and Chocolate Candy, and in the end decided just to watch and root for Mine that Bird.

Was far too hungover to get involved today and had a very bad week in not just gambling but life.

Hope you hit that pick 4.

Youse guys is hysterical. . .may come as a surprise, but a lot of people made money at SA today. S'Fact! You may hate the synthetics, and I do too, but what are you weenies? Jess Jackson mini-Me's but without the money?

Oh, and I'm looking forward to BC 2010 too. With luck it won't rain and they won't turn the track into "fast" concrete either.

I don't remember who was in the Diana. But I know the top 2 or 3 will be ITM again very soon.

LOTS of other tracks to lay your money down. My record keeping tells me to stay away from synthetic SA and DMR. I do just fine at Keeneland and Hollywood. I can't explain it, nor have I put a lot of thought inot it, but I'm not going to waste money at a track just because they are hosting the BC.

CSC 10-12-2009 10:25 AM

The Goodward was a great example of why a derby winner is always overbet, derby winner's will always take their share of money but 3-1 2nd choice and for most co favorite hovering around 5-2 from post 10 was puzzling...:zz:

The Indomitable DrugS 10-12-2009 04:34 PM

Mine That Bird was a huge overlay off at a generous price compared to Swift Temper.

At least Mine That Bird had a nice 12th place finish over the track in the BC Juvie. Swift Temper couldn't even crawl on the stuff she was running on.
