I almost felt sorry for the guy. Then I had a mental picture of him wiping his tears and blowing his nose like a horn with my paycheck, and those feelings vanished.

Old Iron Glove Holliday strikes again.

I don't feel sorry for them. Fk them. They didn't care 'bout us when Jack Clark killed Neidenfuhr in '85.

That has to be one of the worst feelings, besides the pain of his schwanz getting smoked, but misplaying a ball that bad....oh man

SCUDSBROTHER 10-08-2009 08:32 PM

Pretty much happened at dusk. We'll see if that was a factor. Looked like he just got caught stuck between underhanding n' overhanding.

Holliday is a terrible OF. Remember when he misplayed a ball in the one game playoff against the Padres when he was with Colorado? Naturally he made up for it with his bat and it was forgotten.

Chills down the spine. When rivalries actually meant a damn, not that I was around for it.

LOL, last year, I remember Vin Scully saying Holliday had worked on it a lot.

I think he's managing in some real bad league. That guy went bankrupt when he was still making huge money playing ball. How fkd up you got to be to do that? Too many expensive cars. Back in the early 90's, do you really think a car (of any kind) was worth like 700k? Let me tell ya something 'bout where he grew up. It was in (or around) a city called AZUSA. That's out in the San Gabriel Valley, about 10 minutes east of Santa Anita. How they get that fine name? Start with USA. Then add the 1st n' last letters of the alphabet.

Don't know if we'll sweep, but a lot of baseball players believe in fate. They will take that drop by Holliday as a sign of fate. They will ignore the walk, the beautiful Belliard hit, and the pass ball(or wild pitch.) If the ball didn't get away from Molina, then Loretta's jam shot wouldn't have been enough for the winning run to score from 2nd (I don't think.) For a team that executed well all day, they sure stopped executing.

It can be a pretty lazy team. Both these games were a lot about luck n' timing. That White Trash Weaver was how far away from giving up 3 runs? Inches? I do think we can hit Pineiro some. We're pitching a drunk. Who knows what that guy will do. Obviously, nothing surprises me about this team. Won't surprise me if it takes 3,4, or 5. You should go easy on your friends. Dodgers do usually suck against the Cards. We've gotten lucky both nights.

gales0678 10-09-2009 07:10 AM

last time dodgers won a walk off playoff game - 1988 world series game - who was the opposing manager - Tony LaRussa - last night's loss had to be worse for him

he went down with the eck in '88 - wasn't meant to be

now wainright crying about the white towels.....cards starting to make excuses 21 men lob 1st 2 games

Crown@club 10-09-2009 01:25 PM

Holliday didn't just lose it for the Cards. This is more LaRussa than Holliday. All Holliday did was put a guy on 1st with 2 outs.

Clearly frustrated, Franklin threw 2 rotten pitches. Molina went to the mound to try and calm him down. Nothing. Franklin was horrible in September. LaRussa is such a numbers guy, why not bring in Smoltz? Blake close to .500 in hitting against Franklin in 13AB while just one hit in 7 against Smoltz. Smoltz been in this position before. Tony should of done that......Its the same when Scuds biotching about Torre leaving Broxton in there (even though Broxton is better any day than Franklin)

Any day? Oh, I don't think so. Broxton was Stairs' btch in a pretty important game in the NLCS last year. Just hold on about that Broxton. Some days she is not mentally capable. She can't throw a strike, and then throws a slow looking strike (with zero movement) over the heart of the plate. Exactly what she did in game 4 of the NLCS. That's not like rare. Why you think they didn't get the home field advantage until the 2nd to last game? It's cuz that pig gave up a 3 run lead in the 9th inning in fkn Pittsburgh the Sunday before. That was a big downer. That was the first of five losses in a row. I'll be shocked if that deviant version doesn't show up to say "Hi there:eek:..You are officially fkd! " You really think she is gunna hold someone like possibly the Yanks? Wait. The woman will come out. She's lurking.

Smoltz needs like an hour to warm up now. Franklin was clearly rattled though.

LOL...Smoltz needs the right baseballs, too.

SCUDSBROTHER 10-10-2009 05:57 PM

Manny pull a groin at 3rd?

SCUDSBROTHER 10-10-2009 06:20 PM

This is why I was beggin' them to get Furcal away from the Braves. Hasn't been that great this year, but he's coming to dinner now.

SCUDSBROTHER 10-10-2009 06:27 PM

Drunk is getting some movement on his stuff now.

SCUDSBROTHER 10-10-2009 07:04 PM

Holy Sht. Drunk is coming up huge.

SCUDSBROTHER 10-10-2009 07:09 PM

We don't hit that junk that Smoltz is throwing. How nice of us to remind everyone how to pitch us.

SCUDSBROTHER 10-10-2009 07:13 PM

Gave Manny a fastball. Damn, that was senile or something. Dank you. It's appreciated.

SCUDSBROTHER 10-10-2009 08:24 PM

Joe is old. Don't give him pneumonia with that ice cold beer.

SCUDSBROTHER 10-10-2009 08:36 PM

Be nice if they could keep playing like that. BTW, Go Rocks!! We love you Rockie people. We really hope ya do Denver proud.

How much money is that performance by Padilla gunna get him in a new contract? That was really strong. I thought he would keep us in the ball game, but he pitched huge. They couldn't square anything up against him. I saw a photo of Kuroda pitching in practice on Friday. That's good, cuz Padilla may not even know his own name in his next start. So far, we are doing what we did last year. We were the Cubs bitch in the regular season last year, and we beat them 3 straight in the post. Same situation with for Cards this year (they owned us in the regular season.) Dodgers have got to prove they can win a series that they aren't underdogs in. It's a really weird team. One good performance by an opposing junk pitcher, and they can go really cold.

MaTH716 10-11-2009 03:45 PM

I can't believe how well Padillia pitched. He was hitting 96 on the gun in the
7th, I thought he was going to be shelled. No one stepped up for the birds and they pretty much went down without a fight. Looking at their line up, it's kind of amazing how many games they won. Also Scuds, your boy Broxton lit up the radar gun at 100 mph a few times last night too.
A couple of photos from a very nice Busch Stadium.

Nice job,math!....great pics too

SCUDSBROTHER 10-11-2009 06:31 PM

The 2 SOCAL teams haven't lost a game in the post. Padilla pitched brilliantly. Lethal Heat put in a big late rush going 2 turns.... LOL.(.O.K.)
