LOLZ.

Unless we magically time warp back to 2008 halfway down the backstretch, she'll be lucky to finish 4th. Wide trip is not exactly an excuse in the Modesty....considering it produced the easiest winner of the Preview races.

Her, along with Presious Passion, won't see a single one of my tickets.

give me a little driving snow action in the secretariat.... 12-1 m/l. Although i'd rather have mena the jara

that race is WIDE the F open!

Thank you for the contribution to the pools.

Any other scratches besides Driving Snow?

All I knew as of yesterday, since I won't be back out til way early tomorrow morning (you going to be there, btw?) was Driving Snow, and my understanding was that Miller said he may not run Cliffy either now.

I am there tomorrow morning early, probably 6:30ish but maybe even 6, but then have to be at airport at 9am.

Alright text me if you want -- should be out around 5:30-6ish. Probably upstairs for awhile....but can meet up.

ddthetide 08-07-2009 10:55 AM

Secretariat?

why no Battle of Hastings or Straight Story? BoH wins the first 2 legs of the grand slam of turf and skips the third, doesn't make sense to me. unless he's hurt?

conservatively 3-1 7-2, but hopefully more. She is strong and there are many scenarios that fit her. Lets say Tizqueena goes out to a clear lead, your gal can outmove Points of Grace and hold off the closers. She is probably even good enough to just attack the leader slightly prematurely and end the race early. If Points of Grace and Dominguez manage to break on top, Tizqueena may be forced up on the pace and again it sets up nicely.

hockey2315 08-07-2009 12:32 PM

I don't see Ramon putting Points of Grace right on the lead, but maybe the connections will instruct him to do so because she ran so big last time.

They don't make horses better/worse.

Mulllins felt he needed a break.

A few jockeys move horses up.... Ramon especially.

ArlJim78 08-07-2009 02:28 PM

count on softer turf, its been pouring pretty well for hours, and more rain in the forecast tonight and tomorrow.

Eienstein ran huge on the soft turf at Churchill.

You want to explain that ? He always saves ground, and always finds the rail. Even when he has no horse he gives you the best chance to win. Example, Thursdays 4th, he is riding the 10 he has no horse at all, but watch where he places this horse.

Look at his ride in the Diana, because of his trip it was that close.

How about taking a gander at his ride on Gio Ponti's last race.

randallscott35 08-07-2009 08:23 PM

I see nothing to think Gio Ponti doesn't win this.

lol your talking about 1 race.
I can give 10 since saratoga started, where win/lose he gave his mount the best chance to win.

chucklestheclown 08-08-2009 12:17 AM

I guess pick 3s are the way to go here. I am forced to play now instead of Sunday and that sucks.

Scav 08-08-2009 02:00 AM

2am local time and haven't felt a drop of rain since around 6pm. Been outside the whole time also.

Think we might be surprised with tomorrows weather (or at the very least, hoping)

We'll be dry by Noon and baking by 2...

cakes44 08-08-2009 07:43 AM

I will be pounding Black Bear Island and singling him in my pick 3 ticket. Throw out his races at 1 1/2 Miles and I think he's way too much to handle for the rest of these. My only fear is that he gets MURTAGHED.

Seattleallstar 08-08-2009 10:13 AM

Im going with Stotsford in the Arlington Million thats my pick of the day

I like Denomination (Tizaqueena underneath  ) in the Beverly D. and Black Bear Island in the Secretariat.

Good luck, everyone.

(... and good luck to Richwood Silver in the 12th).

Fun $1 Pick 3 and $1 Mid Pick 4 starting with the 6th: Single Solution/Take The Points/Pure Clan/Presious Passion

(I'll do win bets on all four horses)

I posted my tickets in Saturday play along, I leaned on her and one of the euros, then spread on backups.
The soft course also helps Dynaforce.

-BT- 08-08-2009 02:47 PM

you stay classy FCC... shows up to arlington million day in cargo shorts and a t-shirt.... looked like he would get lost amongst the $2 show bettors.

and he also calls out catalano indirectly in the winners circle.... gotta love it

-bt-

Bigsmc 08-08-2009 02:47 PM

She needs more help than that.

Who in this race does the soft course hurt?
