Thanks Steve for the #9 in the last, managed to hit the pick4 X 3. Would have never used that horse with Amanda Casey. Also had the $700 tri in the 5th and the $400+ pk3 ending in the 6th. Fantastic day, great job of capping !!!

Pick 4 parlay for $1 would have been $241
Pick 6 parlay for $2 would have been $26,845

What a Day

Steve,

Let me join in the support and congrads for the great day of handicapping the horses. I had the P-4 as well, four different times + a couple of P-3's for a very good day. You the P-6 for $18K. We go after it again tomorrow.

Thanks for all of your time and effort keeping us on the straight and narrow.

Have a good week off!

As always!

Great work Steve! hope you play it in "real time" ;)

juice1134 07-09-2009 06:25 PM

have never felt so dissapointed, went to the local hazel park race track to play the pick 4 and pick 6 at lunch time, ended up playing the pre scratches because i couldnt wait for the post scratches..... needless to say i end up with 5 out of 6, terrible feeling for me, but congrats on the big score, keep it up

juice1134 07-09-2009 06:28 PM

3kings 07-09-2009 07:08 PM

Included in Steve's 96 $2 Pick 6 wagers was a 6 of 6 ticket, and eight 5 of 6 tickets. So he get his 6 of 6 payout and eight consos.

On a winning caveman, it works out that you get a conso for each losing horse on your ticket.

Maybe un-noticed is that the BYK Train had the 9th Race tribox $1 paid $117! Redboarding..I thru it in at the last minute.

dagolfer33 07-09-2009 08:34 PM

I am camping in the Smokey Mts this week, I have no cell phone/internet svc 20 miles from where I am so when I caught wind of this earlier this afternoon..........I had to come back down out of the woods to check out what happened. Way to go Steve...you are gracious enough to share your opinion with us, and I knew the racing gods were overdue on sending this score!!!!!!!

chucklestheclown 07-10-2009 12:32 AM

This is what I get for not being here for 2 days. Congrats Steve and everyone smart enough to play along! You were due.

Outstanding job handicapping all the way around. You get Crist on and then you put it into (Ticket Structure) action in a big way. Congrats

Kasept 07-10-2009 06:16 AM

Thanks to all for the humbling comments... :o

Gleeful for everyone that benefited, and pleased how the day demonstrates that any afternoon can be special for a horseplayer.

rpncaine 07-10-2009 06:37 AM

Steve,
Listening to the replay at work this morning. Did you just say that you didn't get the ticket in on this Pick-6? Say it ain't so?

Kasept 07-10-2009 07:20 AM

No. As I said, I was late getting to the studio and the 4th had gone off. Had the P4 for $5 which was fine.

It's a bitch having a real job that interferes with ones gambling habits ;)

rpncaine 07-10-2009 07:41 AM

Yep...I hear you there. I've actually borrowed my cubemate's phone to place a bet a few times in the last few weeks. Need to upgrade my phone and the plan since he is leaving at the end of the month.

Past Post 07-10-2009 07:56 AM

Steve I don't really play pic 6's with that small amount in there, but you sure did make someone happy with a great effort of capping it.Your work is second to none.GREAT JOB !!!! :tro:

Gate Dancer 07-10-2009 08:42 AM

Under the palm trees in the morning, followed by a liquid-ish lunch, capped off with a 19k score.:tro:

Your getting silly.:D

CSC 07-11-2009 09:26 AM

Belated Congrats Steve, I can only dream of a 19K hit. Well done!
