Either Dalhart or I Can't Believe.

If it's Loblolly colors he's wearing the former - if not - it's the latter. I can't tell with the black and white.

I think it's Boom Towner...

The Indomitable DrugS 02-19-2009 02:00 AM

he would have Barry Schwartz's silks in that case.

Boom Towner actually won his debut in a 5K MCL at Rockingham Park. I can't think of many better horses from the 90's who debuted for a nickle.

Del Mar Show trivia... name the BC Winner he defeated and the two graded races he won at now-defunct (at least for thoroughbred) tracks.

The Indomitable DrugS 02-20-2009 01:38 PM

He beat Volponi on the Saratoga turf. His two graded stake wins at now defunct tracks would be HIA and Rockingham.

No, good guess though.. this photo is a bit older..

Here's a couple hints, it's from 2000... The inside runner was a very fast horse who set a Belmont track record as a 2yr old in his maiden race...

pgiaco 02-21-2009 03:52 PM

Kelly Kip on the inside? Outside horse is I think a Mitch Friedman former claimer who I can't for the life of me remember the name.

Very good... that's Kelly Kip on the rail.. and you're right about the outside horse too.. he'd later go on to win the Carter that year..

It's a two word name...

pgiaco 02-23-2009 02:56 PM

I think one of them is wrong. I don't think that Honour and Glory and Saarland ever met. I should probably think before I type. The Tabor horse might be Mayakovsky in the Gotham.

Holland Hacker 02-23-2009 03:30 PM

I think I agree with Dr. G. that it is Mayakoyvsky defeating Sarrland in the 2002 Gotham at The Big A.

You got it.. It's Mayakovsky beating Saarland in the 2002 Gotham..

nice job..

I'll try and post a photo, hopefully it works, (I've attached a JPG is that the corrrect way to do it?).

Name the top three finishers:

The Indomitable DrugS 02-24-2009 05:49 AM

Delaware Township beating Left Bank.

Holland Hacker 02-24-2009 06:30 AM

Good Job!

KirisClown 02-24-2009 02:17 PM

Name both....

The Indomitable DrugS 02-24-2009 02:49 PM

Seattle Fitz beating Dynever in an epic display of hang by the runner-up

KirisClown 02-24-2009 03:17 PM

You got it.. Not many horses can sit off those type of fractions and hang.. but Dynever/Ittasak made it look easy.

KirisClown 02-24-2009 03:27 PM

Last one for today...

The Indomitable DrugS 02-24-2009 04:55 PM

There's no V on the back of the silks so it can't be her.

I actually thought those might have been Prestonwood colors (Da Hoss, Victory Gallop etc) when I first looked at the pic .. but the Prestenwood cap is green not red.

I know I've seen those colors a ton before but I can't put them with an owner for some reason.

Hickory Hill Hoff 02-24-2009 05:13 PM

Paradise Creek winning at the Spa?
