If I were able to bet this race (not available on Xpressbet or Twinspires):mad: I would box the 10,9,3,5 in a superfecta. I think the order will be 10,9,3 and 5 but don't have the confidence/skill to bet it straight.

It is currently 7 degrees and sunny at TP. I have not gotten a confident feeling from racing officials that todays card will be run. As usual, no one knows anything.

You can bet this on xpressbet. You just have to call in, can't do it online, at least that's what I have to do, being in PA. Must be different state by state with them.

I just talked to the racing office at about 10:15 am and was informed that live racing for the day is a go !!! See y'all there !!!

The 3 took off and opened up, we were laying 5th out of the chute, moved up on the backstretch to 4-3rd, 3 kept out there, opened up eight lengths, Rampillion and the 8 made good moves as the 2nd and 3rd place horses heading into the turn and through the turn (still about 5-6 off the 3) and she was 3rd top of the stretch with the 8, but the 3 held on until nipped by the 4 at the wire.

Sorry Guys, for those who didn't see it, she finished off the board.

She was huffing at that point. Tired. The weather has been so bad for 2 months, as far as training goes.

Anyone know if she was claimed?

Well, the Turfway horses have gotten in alot more work than the CD Training horses (who are trotting in barns) I don't know who was based where out of that race.

Turfway has had worse weather then Churchill recently, few days of racing cancelled at Turfway last week, not a vaild excuse

Tim..CDT has not had a work or the track open since 1/25..Turfway has had workouts on 1/25,26,29,30,and 1-4.....Not saying it affected Rampillion, but to say horses stabled at the two tracks have had equal training opportunities isn't true.

The "tracked four wide" part didn't help any.

Heard from Chuck after the race. The lost days of training were always a concern. He had hoped that the workout on the 25th would be enough of a tightener to make up for the lost training time, but she was clearly short. Was disappointing, but she came out fine other than being tired. More later when he gets back to Louisville...

Hey, well good news she's still ours and came out fine - so that counts as a work and on to the next! Thanks for the update.

i just talked to Heels, he said the wind chill is below 0* and the cold is nasty.:wf

got home and watched the taped race....too bad she tired, but glad she's ok otherwise.
