I like Tiz Wonderful. He was an exceptional athlete - by the far the best athlete of any Tiznow - had the speed to work a record 20.60 quarter mile over Calder's dirt at FT Feb .. won his debut by double digits at Saratoga with a huge Beyer. Beat Haskell winner Any Given Saturday around two turns in a graded stake at CD as a 2yo. Tiznow is proving to be a very good synthetic sire ... so he may as well. I think he was cut out to be a beast of a horse with a scary combonation of speed and stamina. You can only breed to him at an extreme discount because of his major injury problems. Discreet Cat is another one who had monster raw talent - and a spectacular pedigree. He should blow away his expectations as a sire. |

I'm painfully sexy ... but hey, you already know that. |

Rosie's tougher and more butchy. You see her get thrown off the winner during the gallop out on the Inner the other day. She hustled back to make it in the winners circle in time to get back aboard for the picture. |

Overrated or Underrated in their time:
A Heuvo? Peeping Tom? Will Freefourinternet ever sire a single runner of note? Also, is Mad Flatter any good, or in other words, will he ever live up to all the hype I attached to him last year? |

Peeping Tom was an all-time great claim. He made his stakes debut in the Cigar Mile and was 2nd to El Corredor at about 50/1. After he won the Carter in '01 - he was defeated in 21 straight graded stakes. I think he was almost 100/1 the only time he ran in the Breeders Cup Sprint. I would consider him a very tough sprinter/miler with Grade 2 level talent. A Huevo might have been the best West Virgina bred sprinter of all-time. He won his debut at Delaware in a maiden claimer. I think he also had Grade 2 type talent when he was on ... but was extremely fragile. Quote:

DrugS,
In as much detail as possible, could you please explain what exactly you think happened in the 2007 Kentucky Derby that allowed Street Sense to win? |

But... * Hard Spun was hindered by a crazy fast early pace. Curlin was hindered by a very rough trip. Any Given Saturday was very wide on the turns and got crushed. As his main rivals suffered from either being too close to a fast pace - or having very tough trips - Street Sense was placed in a perfect tactical spot saving ground on the rail in 19th position while rating comfortrably well off the destructive pace. In an act of insanity by Street Sense's jock - Borel never attempted to move him off the rail and tried passing 16 different horses all from the rail. Because of the sheer stupidity of Nakatani on Liquidity and Bridgmohan on Zanjero - Borel pulled off the most brilliant move I've ever seen - and passed virtually the entire field while unmolested on the rail path. While a virtual traffic jam was occuring in paths 2-to-5. Street Sense does not cash in on this insanely good fortune with a big margin of victory - instead he shifts in and almost causes Hard Spun to fall down off of his heels - and proceeds to give some slight ground away to Hard Spun late. It's not so much that he got the most brilliant ride ever - it's that combined with the fact that his main rivals all suffered through far from ideal trips. ![]() |
If a Train leaves Chicago @ 8:40pm heading to Miami , going @ 65 mph with the standard stops and A train leaves Philadelphia @ 3:43am going to San Diego, going @ 67.5 mph making the standard stops....Which State will they cross paths and How fast will I get to las vegas, if I hop the west bound train ?
Thanks, HoBo Joe |

DrugsS,
If you were going to dump a few C-Notes into the Derby futures pool in Vegas next weekend, which 3-5 horse would you invest in? |

Why does'nt body hair grow as long as head hair? Do any other animals laugh besides humans...? and why the heck do we laugh? Why after I urinate do I sometimes get the "piss shivers" and why dont females get the shivers (I have polled a significant number of females and apparently they dont get em)? |
