The posters that seem to be getting the most backlash (ateam, btw, Pants, Hoss, etc...) should all be taken with a grain of salt. A lot of their posts are misconstrued, because of their writing style, as condescending or an attack. Before getting yourself cranked up over a post, take a step back and realize where we are here. This is a horse racing message board, no more no less.

I'm not sure how ateam is a kiss ass, maybe you can enlighten me on that one. No one needs to come on here and find a thread that they made a prediction on, to say I was wrong. If that was a rule, PG1985 would get awful tired looking up old threads to say he was wrong.

Lighten up a bit.
Peace

If it were only the attendance that was the issue.

Actually I think the board wants to be taken seriously. I don't think that the main players "have time" for those they feel to be below "their" level of knowledge. Guys like DaHoss and ATeam are all part of what I would call the Pillow Pants Posse, and they spend way to much time attacking people in a condescending way, as you've noted. Nobody really deserves to be abused the way these guys continually pound away. They all do their best to emulate Andy. While I don't know anyone from the PPP, I do know Andy, and however he wishes to express himself on the board, so be it. The guy has more knowledge than 99.9% of the people posting here and I'm willing to take his criticisms, and delivery of them, because I would bet that whatever he was saying wasn't just for the pleasure of beating someone down. I'm willing to bet the PPP has about an average level of knowledge at best, probably no more or less than myself. But they act like they are Steve Crist, Andy Beyer and Joe Hirsch.

You're reading way too much into this.

You're a whiner. I call you a whiner (and I'm far from the only one who does so). You get mad. You whine some more. That's generally what happens.

Plus, in this thread, I don't see how I was at all disrespectful to you.

You call me a whiner because I complain about things?

This is a message board right? Beside the PPP stroking each other all night, what do people do on a message board? Brag, Tout, Say idiotic things and Complain...among others

Here are a sampling of thread titles:

Dedumbeaux's Ride - I presume this is not to complain, but to praise his journey yesterday?

Here comes a track record at Belmont. - Looks like this thread is not to complain about souped up tracks, but a look back at Left Bank's record setting performance in 2002's rendition of the Tom Fool.

I guess most people write here to commiserate with those they might find to be more in tune with what they are complaining about. Though I am probably wrong about that too.

As far as disrespect goes, there's a touch a disrespect doled out on a daily basis by you guys. Like the guy who was taken to task because he capitalized every word in his post. Might I remind you the post was titled; I'll Say It... Big Brown Should Be Scratched!!!!!!!. You guys beat that guy up for 3 pages worth, and the savior, Big Brown, could not finish the race yesterday, nevermind make history.

I ragged on dude because I couldn't understand a word he wrote, and if you're going to be all "I know what's best for a horse I have no association with," then I think the least you should do is be coherent. I didn't say anything about his opinion, which, by the way, wasn't proven right just because Big Brown lost.

And sorry, but I see a distinction between complaining about a jockey's ride or a souped up track and bitching incessantly about minute things like post time being an hour too late and the DRF costing $5.50.

Any relationship to the E Street Posse...or maybe the Crenshaw Mafia?

Did I mention how awesome it was when the bathrooms stopped working at around 1:00 yesterday? It's great taking a leak in a urinal that just doesn't flush.
