GPK, sure you know 1st round means little. Your picks could sneak up or crash. For me Saturday shows whose here to play....Have you ever been to Augusta?...so beautiful

why do I like Sergio Garcia??? He never shows up for these big events.

Not sure why anyone likes him..hes a prick. Anyone that openly roots for a fellow competitor to miss a putt. There is a reason those guys out there don't like the little sh*t. A trained monkey can putt better under pressure than him. |
I'm a pretty big Lefty fan as well, and from what I hear him and his wife are pretty be pricks. Any truth to this?

He's a phony. Mickelson, Garcia and Greg Norman are the only 3 guys I have never cared for. |
Yes! Someone should ask Conrad Dobler if Lefty is a phony.

Gotta do something to maintain his image. Many pro atheletes do such things...they just prefer to keep it quite and don't need the attention. |

To each his own of course. Im done debating the merits of Phil. I know what I know and I am very comfortable in what I know. All in all, he is an incredible talent on the golf course....no matter how much I dislike him. |
I really hope that TW gets it rolling on the back 9 to make things interesting. What do you think he needs to be back in order for him to stand a legit chance tomorrow am. 6, 7, 8 back?
I liked Furyk's chances since it is somewhat playing like a US Open excluding the rough but now I like a Euro player to put on the Green Jacket Sunday evening. |
Michael Thompson just called a 1 shot penalty on himself on the 15th green when his ball moved just ever so slightly after he grounded his putter.
How about that, that is what this game is all about and major props to him for being honest. |

Stricker is playing like donkey a$$. Sigh.

This is where I come in to try to predict tournaments. After Thursday, and especially after Friday's round is the best time to bet golf.I have to say that the only guy I trust up there is still Tiger. I'm gunna guess the rest of the guys pretty much stay where they are,or fall back.Atleast he doesn't quit when he is struggling, and almost everyone else does.Think about it.If IMMELMAN GOES 72-74 ON THE WEEKEND,THEN TIGER CAN WIN IT WITH A 70 AND A 68.

But Dobler was a complete sh it when he played. He tried to hurt people. The list of defensive lineman he tried to disable is long. I mean who the hell would try to poke out the eyes and bite the fingers off of a guy like Merlin Olsen? Then tried to leg whip him numerous times almost ruining Olsen's career. Olsen was known as a clean player that never bad-mouthed other players. Just played hard and clean. But he was too good for Dobler and Dobler knew this. People do big turnarounds. Dobler seems like a noble fellow now. But he was damn dirty, dangerous dirty. So its hard to figure exactly what goes through this man's head. I think Kev is spot on concerning Phil. Only 2nd hand info, but credible. Heck, maybe he has changed like Dobler. |

my guess is he shoots higher than 146 this weekend. |

Quite a few people are going to have to crater. Is it still true that Tiger has never won a major from behind the pack? |
Quote:
It is true. Not too many players out there would turn down 13 majors if they were all won in front running fashion. |

I give my round of the day to Gary Player. For a 72 year old to get around that 7500 yard..glass-greened track in 78 strokes is science fiction...simply remarkable.

Tiger's not doing it. Elin knows he never comes from behind.

He needs a 66 or 67 today to have any kind of shot at all. |

Has the game, was in the final couple of groups at Oakmont(even though it was a meltdown) the experience should help him. |
Id be inclined to take Poulter for that price. Playing well and due to break through.
|
Truth be told...and as big a fan of Tiger that I am, I would love to see Trevor hold on. A good humble guy.
|
I'd take Steve Flesch at those odds.

I like the Goose
Pants Im getting Goose +135 to Singh today, what do you think |

Immelmen and Snedeker are pllaying out of their skulls! Bravo if they can keep up....Lefty will not win! El Tigre needs a major move to pull it out on Sunday! It should be a fun weekend;)

The next fruitcup to post in this THING ...putting it above my thread... is going to get clipped.
