They just missed a hold by the LSU secondary on the most important play of the game. It's important, but OSU arm tackled too much in this game to deserve a victory.

OSU's defense has played really well this 2nd half. They had them stopped on every series. It was roughing the kicker penalty that allowed the opening drive to continue.

The ref's are doing an OK job. LSU was one of the most penalized teams in the SEC and nation and they only have one penalty. But the penalties OSU are getting are well deserved (with exception to the 1st personal foul call). But you can't blame the ref's.

OSU has played better but LSU is very conservative in the play calling. They have not gone downfield yet in the 2nd half. Got burned when the OSU corner jumped that little out.

The LSU corners are as faster than the OSU wide receivers. The LSU D-line is quicker than the OSU O-line. If OSU had stuck with Wells on the ground... but they made mistakes and got behind.

Normally, would agree, but they playin' in a corrupt **** hole. This is the same state where Gomez was left up in the Delta Jackpot. If that ain't a foul, then wtf is?

whodey17 01-07-2008 10:27 PM

That is one part of the game I am surprised about. I thought OSU's o-line would be able to handle LSU's d-line. Wells should have carried the ball at least 25 times in this game.

This is how I thought OSU would beat them if they could.

I think OSU's offensive corrodinator wants Boeckmen to get crushed in this game since he found out last week that Boeckmen is nailing his daughter.

Oh good Lord.

dylbert 01-07-2008 10:32 PM

Darn refs, they let LSU intercept that pass...

The personal fouls were very weak. When OSU QB gave up and slid that should have been a 15 yard personal, and auto first. The game was just full of poor calls.

Coach Pants 01-07-2008 10:39 PM

Damn refs letting LSU score again.

dylbert 01-07-2008 10:39 PM

Thank you, thank you very much, Ohio State -- the Buffalo Bills of the BCS

Louisana is one of the most corrupt states.
But the NCAA runs this game, not Delta Downs.

OSU makes mistakes and then has to play LSU type
game and gets butt kickin. End of story.

If they kept that lead and ground it out,
passing might have opened up. Just no way
OSU was going to win a game played in the open field.
OSU won all season by playing good D, establishing a run game
and then open up with the passing. They could not do this... Done.

dylbert 01-07-2008 10:42 PM

Vanderbilt, Miss. State and Ole Miss are applying for Big Ten membership tomorrow morning. Figure it is best chance for their respective programs to get into BCS bowl game... LOL!

SCUDSBROTHER 01-07-2008 10:44 PM

I'm impressed. They actually have ice in New Orleans. Backwards bunch could have used that a couple years ago there.

pgardn 01-07-2008 10:48 PM

Thank God for OSU Miles is staying put.
Michigan has some very good recruits
coming.

OSU fans should not worry. The conference
is weak, they can easily get back in this game
again. RB and QB returning.

pgardn 01-07-2008 10:50 PM

LSU has just swiped good recruits from
east Texas right under the nose of ATM.
If Miles had left, ATM might have a prayer.

OSU will probably return.
And hopefully give some resistance next year.

QB?????? The guy's decision making was sooooo slow. Don't think he gunna be winning any bowl games.

dylbert 01-07-2008 10:51 PM

and this concludes our 2008 broadcast... see you back here next year!

Congratulations, LSU Tigers!

All he has to do is get through the Big 10.

Coach Pants 01-07-2008 10:54 PM

They need to beat SEC reject Ron Zook. LMAO

Thunder Gulch 01-07-2008 11:06 PM

Hopefully the voters will automatically downgrade the Big 11 champ next year to Hawaii status and stick them in an irrelevant BCS game. Maybe I was spoiled by the great Texas/ USC game, but it sure sucks to be watching the championship game and considering flipping to American Gladiator by halftime.

The Bid 01-07-2008 11:13 PM

American Gladiator should hire the officiating crew that handled the OSU game.

Coach Pants 01-07-2008 11:13 PM

The SEC commissioner should contact OSU and ask them to select the SEC team to beat them in next year's championship game.

Coach Pants 01-07-2008 11:18 PM

Now with caption...

Cajungator26 01-08-2008 03:41 AM

Geaux Tigahs... :D

Too bad Florida didn't show up against Michigan on New Year's Day as it would have been nice to be 8-1 in bowl games for the SEC. :(

ddthetide 01-08-2008 05:59 AM

congrats tigers!! 9 of 12 SEC teams get bowl bids and finish with a 7-2 record. another NC for the SEC, pretty good year. :D
Roll Tide !

Hickory Hill Hoff 01-08-2008 06:22 AM

Thank god this college football season is over!

Yeah, that 2003 BCS title game win was ancient history. I guess it was stricken from the record books. And what Super Bowl did the Bills win??

Winning 1964 and 1965 AFL Titles is about as meaningless as winning a BCS Title Game.

Well, in essence all sports victories are completely meaningless. As Duane Thomas famously stated at the 1971 Super Bowl..."if it's such a big game, why are they playing it again next year?"
