Dear santa. After you drop off a well-bred filly at 'Zig's house, please feel free to head my way, too.

Thanks for the postings, Chuck, just can't get that site to work for me!

These prices are ridiculous.

What exactly has Indy Five Hundred done to deserve $3,000,000 as a broodmare prospect (nothing against your friend Andy, as I'm glad for him- know who the guy is as well)?!? She ran well on one day. The Sheikhs have lost their mind.

Round Pond, who was one of my all time favorite fillies, for over $5,000,000? Jeez. Rick Porter is having a good month.

She is worth it because Shiekh Mo wanted her and he has unlimited money. Like dropping a kid in a toy store with the gold card.

I won't be upset if he wants to buy me one too. :D

What's your page look like? "To be sold as a stallion or racing prospect?" :D

Cajungator26 11-04-2007 10:45 PM

Liquor Cabinet, Silver Wagon and Tap Day all RNA'd. I actually like Tap Day a lot... 15k was all he got? I'm a bit surprised. What's wrong with him?

Hip 120, a half sister to my favorite stallion (Mr. Livingston) was RNA'd at 50k.

What was the RNA on the Wagon?

He's gotta be worth at least $1,000,000 as a stallion prospect.

$1,000,000 bid.

yeah, wrote that wrong. Meant to say what was the RNA? I figured $1,000,000 was fair (unlike some of these other stratospheric prices.)

Good question that I don't have the answer to... perhaps Chuck knows? I'm still laughing over the 15k bid for Tap Day. I could have had him for my next jumper for that price. :p

I doubt he would have a big argument with you.

It's insane.

Cajungator26 11-04-2007 11:08 PM

Speaking of those connections, what happened to Master David?

blackthroatedwind 11-04-2007 11:16 PM

Last seen trailing the field at Delta Downs during the winter.

More than once.

Damn, that stinks. I always liked that horse. I believe it was you who told me last year that he was running in claimers, but I was hoping that wasn't the case anymore.

OUCH!

Believe it or not, he was actually the 5th choice in the '04 Derby @ 10.60-1. I guess the people that backed him didn't get the note that the '04 Wood was probably the worst rendition of all time.

Speaking of those connections, they also had another former runner in the sale today (Buy The Sport- a NYB who won the '03 Gazelle @ like 40-1 after being re-imported from England), although I think she had already been sold by them before.

wonder who they'll breed her to? Of course there's a little bias, but I did think she was the best in the sale, didn't know she'd bring that much, but I saw where Porter said the reserve was 5 mil, so i guess the # wasn't a surprise to them.
