Very good point. Liked her already, and even more now with the crap from the sky...

I loved that one in the JF already tomorrow -- but her having a winner with her already gives me a little bit of extra confidence.

It makes me think the horse wouldn't be here tomorrow if she shouldn't be, after the other shipper with her wins on the East Coast vacation.

Brock, DC is 9/4 on betfair. are you on???

brockguy 10-26-2007 04:41 PM

i took 2-1... not confident now though..

whodey17 10-26-2007 04:44 PM

Ok that wasnt impressive or anything. Good job by Corinthian. Good pick you two as well. I need to find that old Corinthian thread--ha ha ha

IrishofNDMan 10-26-2007 04:44 PM

Bam!!! Nailed Corinthian!

ALostTexan 10-26-2007 04:45 PM

What will be the excuse for Discreet Cat now?

Rain? Throat Problems? MRSA? George Bush?

brockguy 10-26-2007 04:45 PM

corinthian did very well. DC ran an odd race. the dirt is in some state at the moment..anyway, enough to whet our appetite for tomorrow

Wouldnt that carryover into the next day of racing after the breeders cup tomorrow?

NoChanceToDance 10-26-2007 04:51 PM

I got the tri in a contest, but not in reality :(

I think we can say that DC isn't the horse of old. Again there was nothing there when he was asked for his effort.

Gottcha Gold has ran a massive race to stay on for second after those fractions he set.

I've just seen something on the Thoroughbred Times where they aren't certain to be running on the turf tomorrow if it keeps raining (it is forecast to continue)

ALostTexan 10-26-2007 04:51 PM

No, pretty sure it is going tomorrow. Seems like I saw that somewhere...

It carries over to tomorrow -- mandatory payout tomorrow, regardless of whether it's hit or not.

ALostTexan 10-26-2007 04:54 PM

Well, you made me question myself on the Pick 6, and from the BC website...

The Breeders' Cup Ultra Pick 6 will have a $3 million guarantee on Breeders' Cup Saturday, but there will also be Pick 6 wagers offered on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday programs at Monmouth; and any carryover on Friday will be placed in Saturday's Breeders' Cup Ultra Pick 6

Nice little addition to the pool tomorrow...

Funny reading those comments. Steppenwolfer, Jazil, ha!

ateamstupid 10-26-2007 04:59 PM

$3,082,000 > $3,000,000. :)

I got a kick out of the Steppenwolfer comments as well. And one comment said that Corinthian would win a Grade III at best. But it was a good thread with sound reasoning and debate.

WOW! What a great find dude! I can't believe you knew about that thread considering it took place in January and you didn't join the board until March!
How strange!
Man whodey, it is a shame that you weren't around to meet the guy that started that thread. I think you really would have liked him.
;)
Or have you already admitted that you are eurobounce somewhere and I missed it?
Actually, never mind, I couldn't care less either way.

That was funny. I have heard that Eurobounce guy was sort of out there. ;)

The horse was pretty ill, according to what was published. An illness that lingered for a while, too. That can sap an animal's reserves in ways that don't show up until he is stringently tested. Sure he can work a fast 5f, but as we all know, a workout isn't a race.
