Well..you know me..I hate chalk but some of these guys are in serious denial when it comes to how good this horse is. Every replay I looked at saw him just blow past 19 horses. Wins this race by better than 6 lengths..maybe more or I buy the first round in the Jim Dandy Bar on opening day. Glad to hear Tom is having a get together. Glad to see your computer is working.

The carnival is in town as well blocking the parking lot to OTB...with no beer tent...it might get REAL UGLY.

MIA again...Anyways I'll let him beat me again or may not even play the race...maybe out of spite Borel should ride him 8 wide to prove all us doubters that this horse is God's gift to racing for a couple of more weeks.

Because people aren't saying he's the next coming, just that he's a good horse, who just happened to win the 2 biggest races of his generation so far.

I'm with ya Hoss...He has not gotten his due respect. I really can't see Hard Spun coming back with a big effort and I just have never been a big Curlin fan. I do think that CQ can make the exacta, but like that Justin Dew guy said It's just a little strange that they entered him only this past Monday.

I'm 100% with you on Bernardini and DC. But I think SS is well on his way with his following.

The pace was blistering in the Futurity. Kee Poly is extremely slow and that field was gapped out a good 15 lengths. CQ and Great Hunter had the perfect pace set up; Street Sense had anything but.

current t-bred times.com poll...
Who will win the Preakness Stakes (G1)?
Chelokee (3.53%)
Curlin (19.83%)
Hard Spun (21.49%)
King of the Roxy (4.33%)
Street Sense (44.70%)
Other (6.13%)

I wouldn't doubt that Street Sense gets a perfect rail trip again. He's definitely going to move over and save ground from the outside post. The horses could come off the rail in the far turn and let him through. Small field also.

Was he really blowing by them -- or did a bunch of mediocre horses collapse? The mile was 1:37 and the final was 2:02. Nothing really riveting there. Bris gives him a 105 late pace figure. Good -- but again not earthshaking.

If he gets the rail trip again he may win by 6. But he'll definitely need the rail to do that. Good possibility that he gets the rail in this small field.

Well...let's just say he was moving past them pretty well. Will he get the rail tomorrow...I doubt it, but this will give us all a chance to see how good he really is. It's going to take a real good horse to beat him.

Am I the only one who would die laughing if Calvin won on the rail again? I mean I want Street Sense to prove himself so some folks will hush but seriously, on the rail by daylight again. Funny as heck.

I mentioned that last night -- I would love nothing more, even though I know it's unlikely that it would happen again.

But it would just drive some people completely out of their minds trying to deal with it.
