Well I guess Jeter hasn't gotten it done in the fall since the 90's. Think about this. Why doesn't Jeter get heat for the Yankees not winning championships anymore? The Yankees were choking in the postseason a few years before Arod showed up.
Good pitching is what wins baseball championships, not clutch anything. The Yankees racked up championships when they had great pitching and haven't since they haven't regardless what the SS or 3rd baseman do.
The best player in baseball last year was Albert Pujols and he hit far below his regular season numbers in the playoffs and WS. But the Cards won anyway.
