ArlJim78 04-11-2007 02:48 PM

1st_Saturday_in_May 04-11-2007 02:48 PM

She balked a bit before finally going in.

dr. fager 04-11-2007 02:49 PM

sitting 3rd going to first turn

Cajungator26 04-11-2007 02:50 PM

Something didn't look right, guys.

MaTH716 04-11-2007 02:50 PM

Sorry guys, she finished last

Antitrust32 04-11-2007 02:51 PM

finished last i think

ArlJim78 04-11-2007 02:51 PM

last, she ran wide on the pace about fourth or fifth, then she faded on the turn and in the stretch.

whodey17 04-11-2007 02:51 PM

Last place finish wasnt all that bad. It was a tough field. She showed some promise. She was hooked wide the entire time. I dont think it was a bad effort at all.

Cajungator26 04-11-2007 02:51 PM

She finished last... :(

ArlJim78 04-11-2007 02:52 PM

she'll get something out of the race for sure.

Well, the jock was pulling her all over the damn place and then she backed up... looked a bit green coming around the final turn.

NTamm1215 04-11-2007 02:53 PM

I wouldn't be surprised to see one or two out of here in the Edgewood next month in Churchill.

she was just outclassed in this spot. great experience tho for alot here in their first time ownership and on top getting to run@keeneland, im sure theyll put her in a much more realisitic spot next time out, hope she comes back feelin ok!!!!!!! shed fit very nicely here for the straight 3 for the gals for 15k comin up@ arlington next month on the poly, very doubtful shed get claimed in that spot as well

MaTH716 04-11-2007 02:54 PM

She broke well and was fowardly placed. She started to back up and the backstretch, and ran very green in the stretch.

ateamstupid 04-11-2007 02:54 PM

She might be one of those horses that only feels in her element on the lead, and with Nola Star going 22 and change, that scenario wasn't happening.

Oh well, just the fact that this whole thing came together is amazing, and she'll move forward from this for sure.

It just looked to me like she just got caught a bit wide against horses that were simply better than her.
It was a tough spot for her first start back.
I wish you guys all the best with her in the future.
Hopefully her next start isn't against this tough of a field!

that's true, the class hike she attempted was huge.

1. Just hope she comes back OK.
2. Place her in an easier spot, maybe also a bit shorter
3. Have fun and don't start bickering amongst yourselves about what went wrong, because it didn't look like anything went wrong.

ateamstupid 04-11-2007 02:59 PM

Unbelievable. Sumwonlovesyou runs last, and Sciacca scores at 28-1 a few minutes later at Aqueduct. There is no justice.

First race back from a long layoff.

She will run better 2nd back.

Thoroughbred Fan has good points. Don't analyzing this one too much.

Hope she eats up well.

I didn't see it as being green. I just watched the replays, I think she was just tired. She tried to make a little run entering the turn and she quickened for a bit but could not sustain it and started fading.

I would not be discouraged by this race. She has speed. If she is dropped in class and turned back to a sprint she will be competitive, imo.

Dunbar 04-11-2007 03:05 PM

Looked from the replay like the rider hit her a couple times in the last 1/16th, when she's already running last. Ridiculous.

horseofcourse 04-11-2007 03:06 PM

She did fine. Very tough field for her after what she'd run against to this point. running 6th or 7th in that field would have been a significant accomplishment. She'll improve.

you are probably right, the swerving from being tired made it look green ;)

I think she will be very competitive in the claiming ranks... Sumwon is a nice filly and was up against a tough field today!

Many Others 04-11-2007 03:11 PM

think gave her couple good whacks get her attention back on what wuz going on, she kinda freaked and bounced around after going wide and dropping back - filly has a mind of her own lol - honestly thought good schooling race, from the track feed looked fine coming back, onward and upward!

Cajungator26 04-11-2007 03:12 PM

I like the 10 in the next one, guys. (For those of us still watching. :o )

ArlJim78 04-11-2007 03:17 PM

I'm watching the 1,

Cajungator26 04-11-2007 03:20 PM

Looks like I should quit and go back to my day job. LMAO

SniperSB23 04-11-2007 03:21 PM

Nothing too surprising, she was pretty badly outclassed there. Want to thank Chuck though for giving her a run in allowance company. I'm much happier with that then I would be if she ran back in a 30K claimer, ran huge first time of the turf, and was claimed to go onto have a nice career for someone else. Keep in mind the only one that lost anything by her running there today was Chuck who is relying on purse money to pay for the work he is putting into her. The best move for him financially was to put her in the spot she had the best chance of getting purse money even if it meant she got claimed. For him to put her there for us ahead of his own best financial interest was very selfless of him and shouldn't go unappreciated.
