Can'tdall is about to blow higher than a bad Lennox Avenue Fish Fry.

Perhaps he should be left alone for a while.

It's plainly apparent what Morty's objective is in almost every, if not every, thread he has posted. And that is to provoke others and cause consternation in a play to get attention. Little am I to speak, as I've only been around here for a couple months but my only request is for him to show common decency to others and quit making it his objective to simply ANNOY everyone he encounters. If he continues to post in the manner he has, he deserves to be banned. Just as I would if I carried on the way he does.

And before everyone says just ignore him, I do; now. But, this is a FORUM in which members rely on others to partcipate in a manner which is conducive to the overall objectives of both promoting the sport of horse racing and becoming more informed fans. I don't mean that these are the only objectives, but probably the main objectives, and Morty has, so far, done little to further either of them. Instead, this has been his playground to frustrate, or "vaporize", as many members as he can.

Please, I don't want a reaction, I am more than capable of forgiving another and moving on. But, one has to prove themself worthy of being taken seriously when they have promoted themself as Morty has. And, in my opinion, in order to be taken seriously, a degree of transparency is required. The detective act and his "finest work" is probably more suited for another setting, such as the role-playing community... just my opinion. This seemed to be the appropriate place to say such a thing.

As we were...

Thank you Mr . WindBag.

Give me a stinking break already.

I can't believe I missed this thing!

What great fun!

A windbag?

yeah right.

no one has spewed more useless hot air in such a short period of time than yourself.

Mortimer 04-02-2007 09:31 PM

I have a nice make upee-poo present for Can'tdall.

It's a very nice slingshot with a set of very hard vulcanized projectiles.

I want him to learn how to use this properly so he does not make the mistake so many other bad slingshotters do.

Now Can'tdall......grasp the weapon by the handle.

Do it smartly now.

All right...insert a vuclanized projectile into the big ol' stretchable catapult set in the "Y" of the slingshot.

Good.

Now..and this is very important.

DO NOT stretch that catapult toward you.

Grasp the catapult cradling Mr. Projectile and pull it AWAY from you.....downrange......you should be looking right at Mr. Projectile.

Now line up your target......and Mr. Projectile......and the space between your eyes.

FIRE!!!

mort's the funniest thing since oracle's "i'm gonna send someone to break your leg" meltdown at espn.

please, for my sake, keep feeding him the straight lines.

he was pure comedy and my all time favorite poster.

mort means to be funny. and he's a pro. but oracle was funny without any clue how hilarious he was. nothing beats that.

no one will ever come close to oracle.

thinking the green monkey will run (much less win) a grade 1 is delusional but doesn't come close in comedy to spending hours posting how you know some guys who will track down another poster to break his legs.

you used to be a lot more fun at espn jim. i give you credit for sticking around there a while after everyone else left. i won't give up on you yet but you need to stop worrying about what people will think if you just admit mort's funny.

Well i'm not one to worry about what others think. 100 percent serious here, when I say that I do not find mort funny. verrrry boring if you ask me. for as many posts and thoughts he has thrown up, all of them with the intent of being funny or clever? No I find many others on here much more funny and concise.

the espn thing was funny, many people were funny at that time, not only oracle. he was funny in the way you mentioned, not intentionally funny. But, for me it was offset by other stuff that made me cringe. not a pleasant person and don't miss him. when you're on the receiving end of some of his unintentional humor its not as funny.

Mortimer 04-02-2007 11:10 PM

Well i'm not one to worry about what others think.

Maybe you should.

100 percent serious here, when I say that I do not find mort funny.

I recommend a 70% saline solution drip.

verrrry boring if you ask me.

May I suggest the electric chair would not do much for you either?

for as many posts and thoughts he has thrown up, all of them with the intent of being funny or clever?

Or you'll get there.

Stop watching so much Hannerty and what'shisname.

No I find many others on here much more funny and concise.

Link please.

I don't get it. Ignored the fool awhile back. Guess some may say I'm a lame-o person who hates humor, but I am pretty sure I know what anything close to funny is -- and there is very little of it coming from this one.

(clear throat uncomfortably) umm...

i do think that was funny. "maybe you should". i don't want to be wiping mort's spunk from my chin but i admit that makes me laugh.

can you hand me a hanky?

you're in the front row now. someone else will be there later. nothing personal. i don't think it is from mort either. it's okay if you disagree with me.

i'd just suggest a seat in the shadow's.

Kasept 04-03-2007 05:09 AM

I can't explain the Mort phenomenon other than to say his personna reminds me a lot of Gilbert Gottfried... Glbert is of course an acquired taste, and his act can wear thin. Despite the majority of his and Mort's stylings hitting the ear like nails on a chalkboard, a certain percentage is highly amusing.

And like Gilbert on Howard's Show, he will eventually get the hook, only to return at a later date when you are hungry for him again.. like Chinese food. There it is exactly... Mu Shu Mort.

Describe what some may say of you....do you have a sense of humor?

You have not offered one shred of evidence Fred.

Steve....you are most kind and very well schooled, but I really hate GG.

I felt this a very poor analogy.

I feel I am more the great artist only the deepst thinkers can appreciate.

A Rockwell reference would have been so much better.

For myself, I find Gilbert side-splittingly hysterical... But fair enough.. "Saturday Evening Mort" it is!

Though really, being from the Plum City, your most obvious kindred artistic spirit is Harvey Pekar...

Mortimer 04-03-2007 07:00 AM

Oh come on Steve!!

For the love of mike already.

I'll accept the Mozart of Derby Trail.....and nothing less.
