Chuck...make sure you specify with Jamie that the special rate involves training horses...

If I were an owner who didnt care about long term developement and just wanted quick return and didnt care if my horse ran past 3 1/2 I would choose Lukas or Baffert. If I wanted to develope a horse and look at the long term I would pick (Im excluding my boss) from Cali. David Hoffman and from back east Shug.

I'll pass on the tongue tie, but the blinkers and spurs might be worth a shot. ;)

GPK 03-06-2007 11:11 PM

I will happily take the blame....

the more posts the better it is around this board.:D

PPerfectfan 03-07-2007 12:25 AM

Since I would give a crap about my horse and his/her long term career.... Richard Mandella without a doubt. That way I might get to see the horse run at 4!!

After hearing Gary Contessa on ATRAB and reading the article in the bloodhorse about him I think I would trust him with my newly acquired colt. He is competent, approachable and seems down to earth.

Payson Dave 03-07-2007 08:25 AM

If the horse was a NY bred with modest bloodlines, I might consider Scott Everett...
If I acquired a well bred horse for the weeds, I'd lean towards Christophe Clement...
Niall O'Callaghan would be on my list also...spent a little time with him at Payson Park

phystech 03-07-2007 10:16 AM

Tony Dutrow....

slotdirt 03-07-2007 10:38 AM

Ritchey.

saucon17 03-07-2007 10:56 AM

If you gave quality horse that Pletcher, Frankel and other big name
trainers get and give them to T. Dutrow and Ritchey they both will
hold their own against these big time trainers

Buffymommy 03-07-2007 11:36 AM

HONESTLY, I would probably go with Matz.

Grits 03-07-2007 12:03 PM

Michael Matz, Billy Mott, Tom Albertrani. Dirt or grass, it doesn't matter.

alysheba4 03-07-2007 08:15 PM

mr. pletcher, the guy is beyond great. going back 20 years ago, it would have been mr. jack van berg.
